Just looked up the YouTube video. I won't link to it. Don't bother looking for it yourself.

Just the idea of this poor bastard setting up his iPhone to record this thing while living in a dorm in that sh#thole of sh#tholes Mt Pleasant, Michigan, makes me want to shop for a mouthpiece for my shotgun.

At least a senior in college would know how to spell "douche".

/Maybe

If he was a true actor he would come up with his own character not just another Jack Sparrow which the movie franchise does NOT need!!!

/Should have stopped at the first one-- Kiera Knightley was irritating!

It's Central Michigan University, failmitter!

So, because this moron can do a Jack Sparrow impression, he thinks he'll get cast in the next Pirates flick. Someone should probably tell him that role is probably taken...

Maybe he should have spent eight years working on a unique character, and seek Youtube fame that way. Pretty sure Disney could find a wannabe Jack Sparrow at any renaissance faire.

It's worse then that:

FTA Lake Orion senior Cody Stauber has been perfecting his persona of Jack Sparrow from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie franchise in some capacity since he was 13

He's actually a highschooler from a town just north of Detroit.

Ben Ryan Metzger approves.

In fact he is a college student. This link is the CMU student newspaper, and they always refer to students by their hometowns.

Also, FTA, Stauber, now 21, began acting in sixth grade as a storyteller for competitive drama and speech.

This. It was good quality for a Halloween party, but not unique at all. Hell, Disney probably has 25 people on staff who are hands down better locked in a basement at this very moment.

I still think Russell Brandt would be as cool as shiat as Captian Jack Sparrow's less responsible and together baby brother.

It would be so sweet to see Captain Jack embarassed and trying to play "Dad" and "Mom" to the most irresponsible little brat between Port Royal and the Straits of Mallaca (both ways 'round the world).

Brand has the potential to pull it off, but I severely doubt he could actually dial it down to the right amount. Your second suggestion is unspeakably bad IMO.

The 1st movie was DAMN good and it has steadily gone down hill as they keep milking that cow.

Serious question, how bad was 4?

I absolutely loved the first one, thought the second and third were a hot mess but 3 and a half hours with Capt Jack were better than nothing. Had some hopes for 4 early with them ditching Bloom and Knightley and concentrating on Capt Sparrow but heard horrible things about it and didn't get to see it. so for reference is it better than 2 or 3 or worse?

Basically, 4 was what 2 should have been. It's not as good as 1, but after some frantic overacting right at the beginning, it wasn't too bad. Also, you could have skipped 2 & 3 and gone straight to 4 and never really missed any story line. It got a little confusing there towards the end with the Spaniards (plot didn't need them imo) but it's a good rental.

I think the entire trilogy is as solid as any other trilogy in movie history, like LotR or Star Wars.... I don't think i ever finished part 4.... Gore Verbinski was a big part of the movies being good... I'm excited for Depp, Disney and Verbinski getting back together for The Lone Ranger.

Right. Johnny Depp is pathetic. And you're just the person to judge him about it.

Actually, I just read your profile. I feel sorry for you. Do whatever makes you feel a little bit better.

They don't lock them in a basement, they have them play the character in the park where they make slight innuendo's toward the mom's and let the kids whack them with fake swords.

They could use him by shooting a meta-scene in the film showing a small theater troupe doing a performance of the earlier films.

/and bored children in the audience
