I'll wait for Bill Frist's video diagnosis, thank you.

Hope he has a living will or advanced directives. Otherwise the Religious Right would like you to know that people have woken up 40 years after brain death, and they know his wishes better than you do.

I tend to agree. It's sad for the family, but not totally unexpected given the lifestyle he had chosen.

Are you so bitter that you need to incorporate politics into everything you say and do?

Now if you want to go full derp, you could point out this was a drug deal gone bad, 3rd world problems...THEN you might have a leg to stand on.

Hi. Maybe you don't know. Puerto Rico is not a third world country. It's a protectorate and territory of the United States.

Macho was my favorite for about a year or two. Pretty much my last "favorite" since that was at the beginning of the downward spiral of suck the sport has become.

/FTR, Macho should have won vs. Haugen the 1st time.

Nothing with Hagler/Leonard. I was too young for gambling! It was the emotional investment. And the first time I started thinking "you know, maybe this boxing thing isn't on the up-and-up?" The 1st Camacho/Haugen was $100. Which is a lot for a college student. Made it back on the second fight. I guess. Big picture is, I think I ended up getting out of college about even. Then mostly stopped gambling altogether.

/Hell, it's a lot for me now!

If he could legally buy drugs from any gas station, supermarket or pharmacy, you think he would have gotten it at a street corner from some thug with a gun instead?

Two things:

1. Camacho made how many millions of dollars and he ends his days getting shot to death by a thug with a gun at a street corner drug transaction? Blaming this on the War on Some Drugs while overlooking the thug with a gun and the lousy life choices Camacho made seems short sighted to me.

2. If drugs were legal and easily bought on the open market I am convinced that there are just some people in the world who would rather earn a living through force or crime rather than doing it legally.

"2." Is certainly true. However, saying that Camacho would have been a criminal or a victim of a criminal, no matter what the legal circumstances, is a little far fetched. If you are Pro-Prohibition, just say so and you will be far more credible.

Both times?

Yep. I know what the judges said. But I choose to believe what I saw with my own eyes. Leonard was the popular "face of boxing" so got the decision. But objectively following the standard scoring of boxing, should have been Hagler.
