Garbage dumped on Thanksgiving. Arrested the day after, then went to court the day after that.

Wait, they opened up court on a Saturday for a littering case?

/ still love the song

God as my witness, I swear I thought I trash could dump.

As a proud member of Group W, I approve of this.

Mother rapers, father stabbers. Father rapers,

No Thanksgiving is ever complete without this song.

I have the whole thing memorized at this point.

Pierre Robert on WMMR in Philadelphia plays this song 3 times a day every Thanksgiving. The third and final time today will be at 2, and he'll be playing it on vinyl. Been listening for as long as I can remember.

/What's vinyl?
//Just kidding.

The annual ditty in four-part harmony. Thank you.

Nothing over 2:53 minutes is worth watching on YouTube, it has been proven with maths.

I prefer the 1990 version on youtube (23 minutes with the older Arlo doing the same album pose), mostly for the extra bit about Nixon at the end.

Glad someone came up with the '67 version. I have it on vinyl, but no way to listen to it.

"If you want to end war and stuff, you gotta sing loud."

My grandmother sat us down and made us listen to this, about 1970. She also sent us Sgt. Pepper when we were overseas (military father). She was cool, a flapper in the 1920s.
Lawn: off.

We walked in, sat down, Ph.D candidate came in with the twenty four six-by-four-foot green blackboard segments with circles and arrows and an equation underneath of each one, sat down. Prof came in said, "Ready to defend your thesis?" We all stood up, and grad student stood up in front of the twenty four six-by-four-foot green blackboard segments, and the Dean walked in, sat down with a seeing eye dog, and he sat down, we sat down. Ph.D candidate looked at the seeing eye dog, and then at the twenty four six-by-four-foot green blackboard segments with circles and arrows and an equation underneath of each one, and looked at the seeing eye dog. And then at twenty four six-by-four-foot green blackboard segments with circles and arrows and an equation underneath of each one and began to cry, 'cause the candidate came to the realization that it was a typical case of American academic review, and there wasn't nothing he could do about it, and the Dean wasn't going to look at the twenty four six-by-four-foot green blackboard segments with the circles and arrows and a equation underneath of each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence for his theory. And we was docked 0.1 on our GPAs and had to clean the blackboards after the lecture, but that's not what I came to tell you about.

Came to talk about Fark.

Definitely a tradition in my house. My fondest memory is of my grandmother laughing hard at the line "I wanna kill...kill.....kill.....KILL!"

Thanks Arlo, if you are a Farker... this is part of my heritage and childhood...

You made a common mistake. Prior to hitting "submit link", you must place your mouth on the genitalia of a modmin for it to be considered.

Saturday morning court used to be pretty common in Mass.

Have a good Thanksgiving, folkies.

'Loathe' may be too strong a word, but if I never hear this song again I'd be ok with that.
