When I was flipping through the channel guide, only NBC specifically said "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade".

ABC is doing some parade from Philly. DC's Newschannel 8 is doing a parade from Maryland.

I'm reading that Sesame Street's Elmo will be on a float this year, but not a giant balloon. I wonder how TV coverage will handle it.

-Announcers do not mention Elmo at all, anything we see on TV will be fleeting, in a wide shot, or accidental.
-"Loved by children around the world, Elmo is on the float, dancing with his friends" - Ignore the situation.
-A brief mention of the problems Kevin Clash has had, but in spite of that, Children's Television Workshop has vowed to carry on.

I doubt the third one would happen, But do we want to take bets?

104.8 Fever from Strep throat earned me two plates, six titanium screws, and a large amount of wire in my right radius, as well as reconstructive surgery on my wrist when I passed out behind the wheel, hit a ditch, and the airbag popped while my arm was between the steering column and the wheel.

I don't remember the next two weeks from a combination of fever and pain meds.

Yeah... That's when I know I am actually at "time to do something" sick instead of just "a bit under the weather".

The cutoff for me seems to be around 102.2. Thats when I start feeling like I am just watching myself going through the motions (walking thru the part... [buffy fan]) as a passenger instead of being there.

I spent a night at around 106.4 (temp at admission to ER) when I caught chicken pox while I already had the flu. I still wonder how many brain cells I fried that night.

/All that got me was allergies. Never had them before that fever/chicken pox thing.

parents get to explain to their kids 20th century animated character history, so thats something I guess.

So whats great is out on the west coast we don't get the parade live, it isn't on til 9 am local time. Even though the actual thing is ongoing right now. Kind of stupid but thats network TV for you.

I wonder how many more years network TV will enforce this kind of junk, when streaming media will end-around for those that want to watch live. Eff it we'll watch it live.

105 skin temp is pretty much the point where you start aggressive cooling measures, and finding the reason why you're hot enough to cook an egg. It's the point where the proteins in your brain begin to denature.
