Pacific Air Transport 1928 Boeing 40C S/N 1043 became the only airworthy example in the world. It also holds the title of the oldest flying Boeing in the world. In 1928, the aircraft was substantially damaged in a crash near Canyonville, OR. After being recovered, it was completely rebuilt over an eight year period and an estimated 18,000 man hours by Pemberton and Sons Aviation in Spokane, Washington.

Mike's Stag/Whipsaw Creek by travelcedric, on Flickr

Whipsaw Trail, Princeton BC.

Was originally explored and used by the Hudson Bay Company as a fur trade route. Eventually it became a road to get to gold claims, and is now a world class off roading trail.

This was the hunting cabin of one Richard Holding (1907-1976), which he used for decades. It is nice that most of the off road enthusiasts look after the cabin for him still.

The Jump by travelcedric, on Flickr

Smashed-in-head-buffalo-jump, Alberta

For over 5000 years, indigenous peoples herded millions of buffalo and forced them to run over this cliff, killing or seriously hurting hundreds at a time. This made it much easier to get meat for their families. When the European's showed up, giving the indigenous people guns, they didn't need the jumps anymore.

At the bottom of that cliff is 5000 years of buffalo bones. Kind of eerie walking on all of those bones.

Salzburg, Austria- site of Mozart's birth in 1756 (that house is located on the platz in front of the church with scaffolding), the first performance of Italian opera on Germanic soil in 1617, what is widely considered to be the oldest restaurant in Europe (operating since 803), and is one of the few cities in Europe to not have a major outbreak of plague, or fall to a siege.
