More like: If you snatched this bum off the waiver wires for your second TE with a broken toe, you're looking like an avg FF player.

So ... don't develop Skelton. Just let him fail. Great. Then smash the rookie in before he's fully ready. See, this is how you build successful quarterbacks ... in bizarro world.

Um, no subby. If you drafted lindlay in the first round, your fantasy team is 0-11.

I drafted him

/not really, but Brees sure hasn't done anything to overcome the giant injury my team is.

I just picked him up, fark it, I have nothing to lose.

I and two others clinched a playoff spot this week. 5 other teams weil battle for the fourth spot.

It's Whisenhunt. He only had Warner through complete dumb luck and couldn't find a way to screw him up. Otherwise, think about all of the QBs Arizona have had since Warner: Hall, Leinart, Kolb, Skelton, Anderson.

The guy just doesn't seem to know anything about QBs. I mean, Leinart will never set the world on fire, but the way Whisenhunt treated him bordered on abusive.

And if you're playing him this week, you're an idiot.

I didn't pick him up, but I do have Larry 'Imma do fark-all this season' Fitzgerald! This guy is killing me, and Victor Cruz hasn't been much better.

They go 2-3 weeks with anemic numbers, I bench them, they put up 13+, I put them back in, and they get me 2-4pts. Fitzgerald has genuinely screwed me this season.

If you drafted him, or picked him up on waivers, you've wasted a roster spot for nearly the whole regular season.

Speaking of fantasy, I've got questions this week.

1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE and 2 Flex.

I've got this at the moment:
RB: Marcel Reese
WR: Demaryius Thomas & Danario Alexander
TE: Vernon Davis
Flex: Owen Daniels & Rashard Mendenhall

Bench: Trent Richardson, DeSean Jackson, Bennie Wells, Brandon LaFell & Jermaine Grisham

Overall, I have a great set of picks this week (ESPN projects only three of them below 10). Thomas is an obvious pick for a WR slot. Reese has been a monster lately, so I'm going with him. I'm pretty certain on Mendenhall for the Flex, since Batch is playing and knows how to run the RBs at Pittsburgh, especially given the WR problems there right now.

I'm probably going to set Wells on the bench for his first week back and see how he does. LaFell is the weakest of them all, so he sits. Richardson is up against Pittsburgh, so he probably sits too.

If Vick doesn't play (likely), Alexander takes the other WR slot for sure and Jackson sits.

Mostly I'm unsure about the TE slot and second Flex slot. I'm not so sure about Davis. He seems like his slump is over and can outperform either if he's playing the way he was at the beginning of the season but I'm not convinced on that slump being over. Grisham v Daniels is pretty much a push. All three have similar quality match-ups (NO, Oakland and Detroit). I'm considering pulling one of the TEs and putting in Richardson but I'm not sure.

Any advice?

I drafted Fitzgerald, Jennings, Vick, and DeMarco Murray. Why yes, my team is 1-10.

I pretty much have Arian Foster and everyone else.

i've been saying this for years, literally.

people forget that Whiz benched KW for Leinart, i believe in the Super Bowl season. but for Leinart snapp[ing his collarbone circa Week 5-6, you could argue Kurt never regains the starting position (I hedge because Leinart was not performing well and probablyw ould have been benched, eventually). but the point is, Whis passed over Kurt until he had no other choice.

and Whiz was largely hired here because of his supposed ability to develop QBs. Never mind that the only one on his resume was Ben Roethlisberger. Arizona was seeking a coach to work with quarterback Matt Leinart, and Whisenhunt's development of Ben Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh impressed the Cardinals' brass.

and you left out Bartels, Brian St. Pierre (whom Whiz brought here from Pittsbrugh) and I think one other. and we also made a run at Peyton.

Whiz and Graves should be fired. they're wasting Fitzy's prime years on Whis and Graves AGAIN stumblefarking for a QB.

If you can wait to find out who the 49er QB is, I'd decide on Davis based on that. Smith means benched, CK means play him.

i am in (2) 16 team leagues and he is available in both and i expect it to stay that way. his projections so far are both in the negative.

when, and if, he goes off for 30 points you will see a rush to the waivers. for those who saved any dollars to bid.

i blew my last $62 (out of $100 total for the year) on devin mcourty.

I'd be playing Trent no matter what. Pittsburgh's tough to run against, but I figure he'll get all of Cleveland's yards. I might be wrong.

Also, I wouldn't worry a ton about Kaepernick versus Alex Smith. For all the talk about Smith not throwing the deep ball, he throws a pretty good deep ball. Kaepernick killed it against the Bears, but only finished with something like 240 yards.

When they played earlier this season, Rams flat-out clowned the Cards O-line. With Bobbie F'n Massie on one side and the other rookie jamoke on the other end, it doesn't matter who's the QB is because he's a dead man walking. Dont tell his poor mother because Lindley probably won't survive the game.

You cannot have much success in the NFL without a decent O-line.

It's not the deep ball. It's the number of touches. Smith spreads the ball around more. CK favors Davis specifically.

You should read some books on bridge strategy. The good ones will tell you, if you have a system play your system. A less than optimal system played consistently is better than playing that system sometimes.

Fitzgerald and Cruz are starters. Start them every week except for byes and injuries. If you don't think they are starters, there will be someone in your league who disagrees. Trade them.

I've been there and made the same mistake. It's like trying to time the market.

Leshore, Dez, or A Morris in my flex spot. I am leaning toward Dez because he is playing Washington's secondary

I need someone to help me with my picks this week.

On the bench I have the following:
Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams Winter, Mayflower Porter, Troegs Perpetual IPA, Homebrewed Belgian Quad, Aventinus, and a jug of red "wine" that features a guy holding grapes with a weird grin on the label.

I know my dad will only have Corona Light in the fridge and I think he has Candian Club going in the late game, but I'm not sure if ginger ale is playing to complete that tandem. What should I do?

Ditto on Fitz last year, and every RB on my roster missed games with injures - Peterson, Bradshaw, Kevin Smith, Murray. Somehow won the league....oh, it might have been because of Brees.

This year, I've got Cruz and Megatron, plus Cobb. Gates at TE has been uneven, to put it kindly. I dropped Rivers for Dalton last week, but I could have just as easily dumped Newton. My top scorer for the season is the CHI defense. Currently in a 4-way tie for first, and have the total points tiebreaker, but two of my three remaining games are against co-first place teams.

I'd start Sierra Nevada but sit Sam Adams winter; SA's WAR is not great and Mayflower is unknown outside of a very small sample size. Troegs is intriguing with that gaudy DVOA. But you can't beat red wine jug guy based upon his BABIP alone.

Your dad is playing conservative with Corona and Canadian Club. If he's in a keeper league than he's basically screwed but if he can trade out, he's probably going to make a move for his ERA+ or DIPS.

No, but I did pick up The Red Headed Stepchild to fill in while Ben is off being not quite dead yet. He gets to play Oakland this week. I'd say it's a good plan.

\now if Jacoby Jones would just injure himself or get healthy, I'd be set!
\\well, that and Mike Wallace figuring out how to make his IQ higher than his jersey number...huuge under-100-point disappointment thus far.
