My post would've made better sense with this quote from TFA:

I don't have it in me tonight to scroll past the picture. It sounds like these two have every reason to be proud of their son, and vice versa. And now I think I'm gonna have a nice long cry.

My biggest argument about religious asses.

God is good? Why does he pull this shiat on kids? Take it out on liberals/conservatives, fine, but not little kids.

No argument here but to say dying before you've ever had a chance to live sucks the worst. Makes me hope that religion in any form is right about an afterlife and all... If anyone deserves it, its this kid. God bless him.

Sorry if I offended you. I offer you this non-apology.

I can't cure the kid's cancer. I can't do a damn thing to help him. It sucks, but instead I posted something smartass on the internet. You'll get over it.

The quote isn't really necessary. Death of a child is a huge marriage-killer no matter the circumstances.

No. It doesn't. Really, really, really, really doesn't. I usually post something a little light-hearted on fark or other haunts around december 29th every year, it gives me something to do besides sink into a horrible depression that will not end well.

I'm sorry for your loss. I was just making a snarky post when I had nothing better to say. I'm not going to cure the kid's cancer, and it sounds like his parents are probably a little busy spending time with him to check what Fark has to say about their wedding.

That unfortunately seems to be true, but I was referring to the reason they're getting married. If the only reason they're getting married - after being together for so long, supposedly in love and deciding to have a child (it's a decision, one way or another), and all that - is because their child is dying, they don't stand a chance.

On the other hand, at least the kid will have married parents before he dies, if that matters to him. I don't know if it does or not and I'm not making a judgment on that here, just speculating that he might like that.

I can't imagine having to make that decision, I am so sorry for your loss. Had a brother who died before I was born, and it ruined my parents for the rest of their lives. I hope you and your wife have nothing but happiness in front of you.

Also GNR fan, saw them once and it was incredible. You take care.

You don't have to witness bad to know bad things exist, and that there are such things as opposites.

My understanding was, they were already engaged, but moved up the wedding day when they got the news, so their son could be there when they tied the knot.

Yeah, I did see that on another read-through. That's poignant. I hope they do make it, of course!

What a sad situation, but they created one very happy day for their son. And the child seems to be a real trouper.
