I am no Nickelback apologist, please make no mistake regarding this. However, there will always be a (large) market for generic, by the number pop songs. The guys in Nickelback play real instruments and admit their music is designed for mainstream appeal. Besides, consider the alternative: I would take a hundred Pearl Jam wannabes over a single Nicki Minaj.
