They have to do this on purpose. As soon as K-State showed up last week, I knew it was over.

As much as I don't want another SEC-ridden NC or root for Lane Cockstain Kiffin and USC, I approve of this because fark Notre Dame.

I want another boring assed, all SEC Nat Championship game, so no one will watch again this year.

I can't wait for the Florida v Oregon national title game, where neither of the two participants even won their own division.

Marcus Aurelius: What, no love for Alabama, subby?

Pretty sure Subby assumed the Tide are already in, it's really just down to what team they will be playing

My dream scenario is for USC to beat ND, Stanford to beat UCLA, and Georgia to beat Alabama in the SEC championship. That would mean Georgia (which lost 35-7 to South Carolina) would play 11-1 Oregon (which won't even win its division if Stanford wins this week) in the national championship. Then I'd love to see Oregon beat Georgia for the national title. The media shiatstorm would be hilarious, and I always love seeing the BCS process get humiliated. With all the ineligible teams and prevalence of mediocre teams, this is already going to be the worst bowl season in a long time - why not have a turd of a national title game to top it all off?

I guess I am a hater.

Hey, the Irish have made huge accomplishments for the world. There's Bushmills, Guinness, Murphy's, and... the band Primordial... the potato famine... maybe a couple of old U2 songs if your girlfriend is in the room... Lucky Charms... that stupid parade where they dye the river green, which was cool in The Fugitive, and Touchdown Jesus (which is going to be awesome when a Penn State style scandal breaks out in South Bend).

Fun fact: "Notre Dame" is French for "Our Lady" which happens to be an awesome Deep Purple song from their "Who Do We Think We Are" album.

That would be even worse. As crappy as Florida has been lately, they probably lose to FSU this week.

Perhaps. If Notre Dame loses It will be an all SEC NCS game again. I would think SEC haters would want ND to win so at least they have to lose to an SEC team and not gift wrap the 7th national championship for the conference.

I dont see that happening since UGA's defense is as good and better most games than Stanford's, I think like a couple YPG separates them.

I want ND to win, then UGA beat bama so they get to win an easy NCG.

They wont allow another all SEC NCG again, whichever team is lower will get screwed big time.

If you're talking about gift-wrapping a national championship for the SEC, a Notre Dame win would be the same as a Notre Dame loss. Remember, if the refs hadn't been on ESPN's payroll, Notre Dame would have lost to the same team Oregon did.

If Notre Dame loses and Florida defeats FSU it's not much of an option. It will be Bama/GA vs Fl.

Georgia has played only two teams this year with winning records and they only barely beat Florida after 6 turnovers. Georgia is overrated. They don't stand chance in hell against Alabama.

Free Radical: Notre Dame sucks

No, it's the other way around. Duke has only had entitled, arrogant douchebag fans for the past 20-25 years with Coach K at the helm. Notre Dame has had those fans since forever. They were just quieter in the past decade since they couldn't back up their trash talk with a quality team until this year.

That being said, I would still rather see ND in the title game than another SEC vs. SEC snoozefest.

That wont happen, they will still put one of the other teams back above Florida to finish out the season, after the year florida has had they dont deserve a NCG at all, it would be funny and trollerific but they wont allow it to happen.

After watching bama the past few weeks you could say they are over rated as well, I dont think the SEC deserves all those teams in the top 10 and those impressive top 10 beat downs bama had early in the season dont look so good now that those teams have been exposed as barely average teams. LSU and A&M are the best teams they played this year and they are 1-2 against them, and they should be 0-2 against those teams.

I think Georgia fans are rooting for a ND win. The path to the title doesn't change for Georgia and I think they'd rather want ND in the final than Oregon (or any other possible contender).

2012-11-21 10:23:58 AM
As an Oregon fan, I want ND to lose purely for the sake that I can't stand them. Seeing how we played against Stanford I don't think we deserve to be in the NC game, but I am completely rooting for UCLA to beat Stanford so that we can go to the conference championship game.

It would be a travesty for Oregon to have the season they had (if they beat Oregon State) and not host the Pac-12 title match.

2012-11-21 11:05:19 AM
The only SEC team rooting for a ND loss is Florida. UGA and Alabama both want to play ND in the BCSNCG because ND has no offense to speak of. Oregon would be a much formidable opponent.

Florida doesn't even benefit from an ND loss if it loses to FSU, and that's what I'm predicting.

Yeah he's proven that guy booing him at the airport right when his plane landed, sure he won a NC but that was more because cam was a freak than him being a good coach. Hell, he got lucky twice, UGA would have beat them if the refs would have called any of the hits dick fairly made and bama should have won, but luck plays into the game as well so they escaped and played a team that crumbles against a decent defense.

I'm pretty sure cheesedicks fate was decided when UGA stomped a mud hole in them, I would have felt bad if I didn't know asshole auburn fans that talked shiat.

I'm rooting for an ND loss mostly to tank the Heisman candidacy of Manti Te'o. Nothing personal, and the dude has a a rough time of it, but look at his stats, man. He's not even close to the best defensive guy out there. If he played for ANYONE but the Dohmers, he wouldn't get a second look.
