TheGhostofFarkPast: Here is a trick for all your SiriusXm subscribers out there. Do what I have done the last 3-4 years, call up and tell them you got a half off promotion in the mail for $86 and you would like to apply it to your radio on your line. Either that or say you are going to cancel and keep going until you get to a rep who will offer the half off price. I have been doing that for quite some time because I refuse to pay full price for the service since it is not worth it. A good portion of the stations have turned into your typical station you would hear over the air just with out commercials. The music stations are notorious for poor rotation of tracks and I think I have everything on the Soultown station at least 3 times by now. I still get a lot of enjoyment from Sinatra, news stations, and Area 52/Chill so it is worth that half price fee.

Yeah, so basically this.

You can't blame them for trying, though. Get all the lazy rich people to pay one price, and still make a decent coin on the second tier. Although the more word gets out, the more people will put in the effort to save.
