AdolfOliverPanties: Smokescreen. Double bluff. An old XK Red 47 technique.

Rove planted the Anonymous story. He knows it will never be proven, or even investigated too much, but he can sell it to some of his donors and maybe not end up in cement shoes for squandering so many millions of their money.

Triple buff, Anonymous only gained access to ORCA because Rove is Moot and used the "hack" to provide a cover for his Producers-esque money grabbing scheme. He has been playing both sides against each other and walking away with all the Loose Change that shakes out during the dust up.

Wyalt Derp: FlashHarry: i love that the romney team called it orca in response to obama's narwhal software. "see, an orca can kill a narwhal! hurr hurr!" well, it killed sweet fark all this time, pal.

Somebody pointed out in another thread that it's an anagram of ACORN without the N(-word).

Agreed. Like this but funnier.

Marcus Aurelius: Access database

Are you kidding??

FlashHarry: what_now: No. Just...stop. Stop trying to call Karl Rove some master criminal who had some way of erasing votes. Stop trying to make Anonymous out to be some sort of Bond hero.

Mitt Romney ran a terrible campaign, and lost the election. Karl Rove convinced some very wealthy people to give him a lot of money. The End.

Firewalls? Tunnels rats? This makes no sense at all. You hardly need to go out of state to alter an Access database.

It sounds dubious to me too. Are they saying that this ORCA had hacked into all the voting machines and could change the votes? So if they compromised Rove's system, wouldn't that imply that THEY could have changed the vote count?

This sounds like something from the latest bond movie, not like something real.

The ORCA team was plenty incompetent on their own.
