At least that "journalist" isn't still trembling with rage because Chimpy McFlightsuit embarrassed himself, his country, his planet, and the entire Milky Way every time he opened his asinine drydrunk mouth. And was routinely called out for it during his term. Which ended four years ago.

Rage on, Garth.

Oh, well then. Mitt Romney pissing off the British is totally forgiven.

In a country that the author gave the wrong name for.

yeegrek: The author of TFA is a giant sandy vag, too. Got into a back and forth with the coward, and he revoked my Disqus posting privileges. Sure it's his site, but given how badly he whines about liberal sites telling him to go away and stop shiatting on their comments section, he's quite the hypocrite.

He's a big fan of the non sequitur style of debate. He's fun.

Projection's a helluva defense mechanism.

skullkrusher: tinyarena: You actually counted the days!?

maybe but I'd imagine he multiplied 4 * 365

So he left out the additional 2 months before his successor is inaugurated AND the leap year day? Wow. He should have just said "four years" and left his dumb ass some wiggle room.

Not that I'm complaining. I like to find minute reasons to laugh at rude and small-minded people.

he missed the leap year. There are no 2 additional months.

So's shutting off comments so you don't have to be exposed to differing opinions. Very brave. So, can you answer my question as to whether your belief that Obama put out a hit on you made you hate him so much?

Cythraul: [www.pensitoreview.com image 390x642]

Yeah, because Bush and Obama are so close on this issue.

I remember Bush acted like this because he thought it was his last summit.

Then the economy collapsed. I presume that it was Obama's fault.

I saw a video of the world leaders gathering for a final picture and none of them would shake Bush's hand.

It's worth remembering that the world doesn't hate the US. They hate American hardcore right-wingers. And they laugh at us for electing them.

I have to say that YOU might not care but we, as a nation (and certainly our President), should get along with as many countries and world leaders as we can. We'd rather have more allies and fewer enemies.

That being said, I'll guarantee you a lot more world leaders like Obama than hate him.

...the kind of gaffes that would have been plastered on the front page of The New York Times if they had been committed by George W. Bush when he was in the White House...

The theoretical liberals who lives inside the Daily Caller's wee head sound like jerks.

Face it, Obama's a rock star on the world stage and the GOP are more like a 50 year old Ted Nugent groupie that even the roadies won't touch.

Why are you so angry? You won! This isn't a big deal... well unless you think it's a big deal and you have to spend your day defending your president on the internet over it!

This is going to be an easy four years for me. You guys are already screaming your heads off like a sea of hungry babies.

OK, smart guy. How DO you pronounce Aung San Suu Kyi? You get one try. Go!

And while I personally don't think Burma has yet earned the right to be called Myanmar (just like Cambodia hasn't earned the right to be called Kampuchea), I'm not the President and I'm not visiting their country. My opinion doesn't count.

If you pronounce "Myanmar" correctly, it doesn't look anything like it's spelled.

Granted; but you also know that Aung San Suu Kyi isn't President, right? :)

I'd be less understanding, but you have to realize nobody can say MY last name right 30% of the time, and it's an American name. When Americans can't say a two-syllable American name properly a third of the time, I'm willing to cut anyone slack for their mispronunciation of a foreigner's name, even if they are President of the US on a goodwill tour.

vpb: This is just sad. People on the right desperately want to pay the left back for laughing at them, but all they can do is point to insignificant things like having difficulty with Burmese names and pretend that this is comparable to pointlessly suggesting that the UK wasn't able to handle Olympic security.

honestly, the point was had Bush done this it would have been all over the news media about how he bumbled the name. Obama does it and nary a word.

maybe the news media on both sides should stop trying to make our leaders out to be fools and simply report the real news and not the stupid stuff.

"That's racist."

*monocle springs from eye*

"R-R-R-RACIST?!? NO U!"

In a way, we were better off in the days of Teddy Roosevelt; back then, the rhetoric was plain and open about superior, intelligent Aryan Anglo-Saxons and inferior, slow-witted Africans. They didn't resort to cowardly code words, then turn purple when the code words were challenged. They put their foolishness and racial hate/fear right out in the open.

Crapinoleum: Huh. I was sure this article was going to bring up his true gaffes, like bowing to his hosts, and walking barefoot in a business suit. Let's stick to the real issues!!

Wait wait wait, bowing? You have a problem with bowing?
Here's Foreign Courtesy 101:
In Asia, it is seen as polite, gracious, and respectful to bow. Since he was the guest, he didn't bow too deeply, but just enough to show appreciation. Especially when you are meeting a head of state. Aung San Su Kyi was flattered that Obama bowed to her. Nixon bowed in China. So did Eisenhower. Both of them Republicans. The rule is that you don't bow on HOME soil.

2012-11-22 11:53:12 PM
No no no, I was just sure this was going to be the reaction, since he has been criticized for bowing before. I should have written it "true" gaffes. I'm fully behind Obama honoring others in their tradition when he is in their country. Including going barefoot.
