MrSteve007: Generation_D: Standard Northwest storm. I guess you guys would call that a hurricane where you live.Yep, if it happened on the other coast, we'd get 24/7 news coverage for a week.Police cars on fire:[media.komonews.com image 660x413]Semi's flipping over left and right:[media.komonews.com image 660x369][media.komonews.com image 660x371]Landslides, taking down homes and covering railroad tracks:[media.komonews.com image 660x495]Urban flooding:[media.komonews.com image 660x391]Interestingly, we nearly doubled our *all-time* record for rain in one day. Doubled. But here in the Pacific NW, this kind of weather is called "November."
jack21221: ChipNASA: One-Eyed Willie?/I don't get it.I don't get it either. Before clicking the link, I wondered if they were talking about a hurricane this late in the season (one eye = hurricane eye?) Also, it turns out that if we had two more named storms, the second would have been named William. THEN this headline would have made more sense. As it stands, I don't get it.
