That's all fun and games until you run out of money and have to go into the ring yourself pretending to be a robot.

They aren't free standing, boring.

Gotta start somewhere. RTFA. They plan to fix that.

This has the potential to be awesome. It sure as hell beats the crap out of the stupid RC car bot shows that used to be on.

Now, how about filming it outdoors with no audience nearby, so we can outfit this bad boys with rockets and what not?

Next step Robo Jox?

Lock the box, it's robot fightin' time.

I'd much rather see BattleBots come back; it was a great show for aspiring engineers and tinkers to show off their skill.

As cool as this is, it's going to be too polished, too manufactured drama-y to be awesome.

A Playboy playmate with poorly done implants photoshopped with the face of a TV show cohost with manufactured sex appeal by horny geeks willingly led around by their joysticks?

Original, by the way:

Just as real as this "robot boxing" show will be. No doubt the show will somehow manage to be worse than WWE and its associates, but with far more theatrical smoke and sparker effects.

Maybe they should just hang truck nuts on the robots and rename it "Ow! My Robo-Balls!" to attract more of their target demographic.

I remember when that channel used to have quality programing. Then, Bonnie Hammer came along.

I wish the headline had referenced this in some way. First thing i thought of was stealth advertising for a twilight zone marathon

If it's good - it'll be great.

But it's on SyFy so i have 0 expectations up to this point.

Crash and burn.

One early test featured a robot attacking a Volkswagen Beetle

"Sheldon, did we all not just watch the same video? Kripke's robot just had angry sex with a midsized automobile!"

Yeah, I was about to say "I missed that episode". Kari's pretty self-conscience enough to not be that revealing. The best we've got for her is a Maxim photo shoot.

Amen to that.

Ferchrissakes: The Science Channel has better SF programming (though this season it seems to be
the FOX Network's dumping ground since they're showing FRINGE and TERRA NOVA).
