EyeballKid: "Corey" seems so informal. Shouldn't we just go with Governor-to-Be Booker?

You misspelled "President Booker"

KarmicDisaster: Summoner101: Is it just me or is a week on food stamps pretty weak?

Also, what do you bet that he won't factor in the costs of things that he paid for before the week. Phone, internet, electricity, water, gas, rent, TV, just having a bank account, just having a credit card, just having already purchased clothes, a house, a car, car insurance, health insurance, home insurance etc blah blah. He will come back having spent 200 on just food and say that it is "easy" and "a luxury".

Why would he do that when it's obviously the opposite of the point he's trying to prove?

Unlikely.

/not sure what the details are, but I live alone and spend less than $200/week on food.
//more like $60-80/week

There is no way a human can sustain a healthy diet on $60-80 a week. Especially a teenager or young adult with their high metabolism.

/Kidding. Love him. But seriously, how does he have time for all of this?

Mayoring while black? /s

The house fire he saved someone from happened (IIRC) near his own house. He also had probably the best rhetorical beat-down of religious people while at the same time honoring their faith of all time.

Really? You think that people on the SNAP program get $200 a WEEK to spend on food?

In Oregon $200 a month in food stamps is the max a single person can receive. I don't know what the max for a single person is in other states, but it's certainly not $200 a week. I think a lot of people don't realize this.

I liked how he was letting people just hang out at his house after Sandy...letting them use the power to charge cellphones and whatnot.

There was something about that....well beyond just your typical "I'm doing this for the PR/Political impact."

I seriously doubt Booker will short sell the challenge and yes that is President Booker...

a week? for one person? that's easy. try doing it for a month. or 2. add a kid.

I could survive a week being slightly hungry every day that week if I had too. hell, I could do it not eating anything if I had too. a month or longer is a whole different beast.
