The problem with that is that you can still see the phone. Hide the phone away if you want to make it look like you have an old timey phone.

Agreed. Looks like there's a fake little drawer there. Why not make it real?

Apple doesn't want anything hidden away when it comes to their brand.

People are SO going to look back and ridicule this entire decade. We're well on our way to supplanting the 1970s in terms of the facepalm factor.

I like tacky things. But that's not even kitsch. It's just bad. It looks terrible. Something even so simple as a different cord for the handset would go a long ways in making it somewhat better, but the design is still so awful. And this is coming from a guy who almost bought a big telephone that looks like something Shackleton would have used in a future that never existed - a mess of retro styling - even though he doesn't even have a landline. I can appreciate ugly and useless. I cannot appreciate that thing in TFA.

Airplane mode's built in, using that while leaving the screen off will eliminate 99% of the radiation without having to buy any accessories.

Suckers.
/even works on my Android

"In addition to letting you talk on your smartphone in style, using the handset also helps shield you from up to 99 percent of the radiation absorbed when speaking directly into cellular phones."

WAT

That's it. I give up. People are just too damn stupid for me to deal with any longer.

Speaking as a person whose iPhone died yesterday because I dared to take it out in the cold, fark Apple up the rear with an 18" dildo.
