So did I, until I saw the base price, with accessories, runs north of $2,500.

And that's for the low end model.

Havent priced many hand made instruments lately, I see. No snark meant, but low build-volume instruments like this arent $10 pennywhistles.

for a handmade instrument of high quality, thats not too bad at all. I paid more then that for my last violin, and my buddy has shelled out a ton more then that for a few of his guitars.

Playing two different instruments (and singing) at once always amazes me. I don't know how people separate the taks in their brains. It's not like he's playing two keyboards. The Harpejji layout is easy to understand for piano players, but it's still a finger string instrument

Bad sign for the harp if even a blind person needs a teleprompter to play it.

BenJammin: The AMERICAN MADE Harpejji.

It sounds like a weird line to throw out, but judging by the timing of the show (November 1st), the decorations and the people standing behind him, I'm guessing the show was part of some sort of political function (which would also explain the presence of the teleprompter)

Yes, because at $2500 there's plenty of markup for it to be made in america. A 99 cent can-opener.. sorry, gonna have to be made in china walmart shoppers

So this is the first I've heard of this thing, and it seems like a cool instrument, but I have a serious question: why does it always have that schmaltzy '80s reverb crap going on? Is there something about the mechanics I'm not getting? It's built like a guitar so they can run it through any setup they want, right? Certainly they can pick something that sounds more crisp?

Yes - any sound you can get through a guitar, you can get through a Harpejji. It's all about the amps.

Pricing looks about on par with the Chapman Stick, the main difference begin that the Stick is a piano that thinks it's a guitar, and the Harpejji is a guitar that thinks it's a piano.
