Vote Scamming in Florida

Democrats are known for years for stuffing the ballot boxes in a number of heavily Democrat leaning counties in Florida.

Obama was reported to have won the state 4,236,032 votes to 4,162,174 for Romney, a margin of just 73,858 state wide out of more than 8.3 million votes cast. Obama's margin in Broward County alone was 263,698 votes, where he won 507,430 to 243,732 including several divisions where Obama more than 90 percent of the votes.

Here are the vote totals in the 778 divisions/precincts of Broward County, from the county's web site:

From the same county website:
Registered Voters as of 11/19/2012 Democrat: 596,719 Republican: 260,045 Other: 288,098 Total: 1,144,862

The numbers match up. Clearly this is voter fraud...

Anybody have the precinct/ward maps for these "black" states? I'm curious to see how gerrymandering could have created districts that would vote 100% democrat. "Look, there are voting precincts in inner-city Philly and Cleveland where Romney got zero votes. Therefore, vote fraud."

The problem with this is it isn't surprising at all. Romney didn't have much of anything in his campaign to appeal to inner-city voters. The fact that his support was close to nil in some neighborhoods, honestly, is probably to be expected.

Conversely, if you go to deep red areas of the country, say rural Oklahoma or Wyoming or Idaho, you can find plenty of precincts in which Obama got zero votes, or one or two, compared to hundreds for Romney. That's not evidence of fraud either.

You've got to hand it to Barack and his magical time/weather machine. If Sandy had come just one week earlier, Obama might have lost NY and NJ--just ask anyone on Staten Island who still has no power what they think of Obama.

As to this kind of craziness--in retrospect it's too bad the repubs didn't go full derp and nominate Santorum or Perry. The electoral disaster would have been of truly epic proportions and we wouldn't have to hear from die-hard teabggers for the next four years about how Romney was too liberal and a true conservative would have won.

FTD: Such is true of the voting divisions where Obama gets 100 percent of the votes cast. As if anyone REALLY believes that is legitimate...

If this is even true, but plenty of areas are near 100% conservative. He can't believe areas would be 100% dem? Must be voter fraud.

2012-11-20 09:50:41 AM
If you simply start with the axiom that more voters wanted Mitt Romney as president than Barack Obama, it becomes clear, ipso facto, that there was massive vote fraud in the 2012 election. One simply has to look at the "official" popular vote total to see incontrovertible evidence of this fraud. And, from my experience, this is the most insidious version of fraud possible--the version whereby one of the candidates illegitimately convinces a majority of voters that they would prefer him as president, instead of their true choice.

I speak as someone who is a direct victim of this heinous electoral crime. Not only was I shamefully convinced by the Fraudster in Chief to cast my vote for him in the past election, I am still under this delusion that I prefer his re-election to the prospect of a Mitt Romney presidency. I don't know if our nation will ever heal

I'm not a statisticals engineer or anything...

But if I'm putting this together and I start to see that my percentages are coming out to four-digit (and sometimes five) numbers I'd wonder what *I* did wrong. Or if I'd read the inputs incorrectly (like that guy who mis-read the cards data in the West election).

If you look at his Florida page it shows that precinct C034 was won by Obama by 39620%.

But this should be on the FW: FW: FW: train shortly.

Staten Island is fairly conservative compared to the rest of New York.

McCain actually won Staten Island by 5 points back in 2008. Really. It was the only downstate New York county that Obama lost (unless you include Putnam County in your definition of downstate).

This year, Obama won Staten Island, barely. So he significantly improved his performance there compared to 2008.

Romney got 0 votes in 59 precincts in Philadelphia. In 2007 McCain got 0 votes in 57 precincts in Philadelphia. This means voter fraud!!!!!

It can't be that those were heavy Democratic precincts to begin with, and Romney did little to reach out to them. Or the fact that he and the Republican party showed complete disdain for the people in those precincts. Naw it has to be fraud, because ignoring and insulting people won't affect the way that they vote one bit.

2012-11-20 09:56:49 AM
Obama had more votes than Romney - therefore, voter fraud had to have occured.

The concept that the majority of voting citizens took a look at their party and said 'no' just doesn't occur to them does it? There has to have been some other reason - gifts, black solidarity, the gay mafia, something utterly unassociated with the Republican party, it's candidates, or it's platform.

This really bears repeating.

Pretty much every confirmed instance of impropriety or illegal activity in this election was perpetrated by Republicans. And they still lost.

A judge halted their new voter ID law in the state; that's all the proof these people need to say the election was stolen.

I actually was talking to my mother's boyfriend about politics last week (bad move, I know) and he said it was a fact that Obama lost every state with voter ID laws on the books other than Virginia. Had to be polite but mentioned that I was pretty sure that Ohio had a voter ID law they just put in place so I wasn't sure he was correct. Looked it up later: Obama won Michigan, Florida, Hawaii, and New Hampshire (all require photo ID) as well as Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Ohio, Colorado and Washington (require ID, but accept some non-photo ones).

Of course, he also told me I have to see "2016" if I really want to get what sort of person Obama really is.

On the one hand, good for him. If after being wrong, admitting he was wrong, then coming up with this and he still gets cash out of people .... He deserves every penny.

On the other hand, he is part of the problem. The common man won't be able to accept reality as long as there is someone to blame.

On the third hand, it's people like him who are going to get other people riled up about "second amendment solutions"

TL:DR version - he needs to go fly a kite!

Basically, what this idiot does here is look at voter turnout and sees it is down since 2008 and then says that must means Obama must have cheated, because there is no way the Democrats could have high voter turnout doesn''t understand three things:

1) Turnout may be down since 2008, but it's up since every other election (including 2010) in recent history.
2) The reason turnout was down was because most Conservatives despised what the GOP has become (a far right zealot extreme party) and did not like Mitt Romney (1. Mormon, 2. Massachusetts flip-flopper).
3) At the same time, Liberal turnout was UP, mainly because a. Obama was a community organizer and thus organized turnout, and b. the GOP zealots had been badmouthing him so much it fired up the liberals to vote (while at the same time pissing off the moderate Republicans

Note, his voter suppression lie was not as bad as the "voter registration" crap, I wrote about here:

So far, the evidence of fraud in each of four states:

1.) "Democrats are known for years for stuffing ballot boxes in X"
2.) The vote percentages in X changed throughout the day as they counted more and more counties.
3.) "That raises the question, where in the state where those last voters counted from and reported from?"
4.) These areas "will be the focus of efforts to find any reports and evidence of vote fraud in the state."

So in short, this guy's evidence is "hey guys, we should totally look for evidence." I guess that's enough to launch a ZOMG ELECTION WAS STOLEN website.

I am particularly amused with point (3). Wasn't this guy like a big deal in election forecasting in conservative circles, like just a few weeks ago? And now here he is, weeks after the election, wondering aloud what precincts reported when---is he not aware that everyone had this information, and in fact used it to declare projected winners on election day?

/Either that, or he's just doing this to show off his HTML TABLE chops

Wish I could remember the psychological term, but this is a thing that people are prone to do that seems especially common among conspiracy theorists. People see their side as incompetent but with good intentions while seeing their opponents as hypercompetent but with evil intentions. For all the complaints about Democrats always snatching defeat from the jaws of victory around here, they have had a few years of significant policy victories both in legislatures and at the ballot box. Freepers constantly complain about how ineffectual Republicans have been since the good old days of the 1980's, forgetting how effective Bush was at pushing for policies in his first term and forgetting the failures/compromises Reagan made.

Jonah Goldberg has actually done a good job pushing back against this comfortable logic that we're so tempted to participate in. When your argument starts with assumptions that your foe hates this country and is able to secretly plan perfect crimes to cause its downfall you've already failed. Both sides love this country and want to do what is best for it, but neither side is spectacularly good at it and have vastly different opinions of what would be best for it. Goldberg is still an asshole of the highest caliber for trying to claim liberals are trying to institute Nazism in America, but at least he does so in a way that claims they do it because they think it would make it better off (faint praise to be sure.)

I'm with you here. There's no history to this guy - he pops up out of nowhere with his Unskewed Polls site, proceeds to become the darling of the Republicans because he tells them what they want to hear and gets everything massively wrong, using a methodology that doesn't make sense to anyone who can think twice about it (which obviously eliminates Republicans...).

Did you see how his original prediction went from 330+ Romney to 276 Romney in the space of a week? No one's predictions swung by that much in so short a time. This was a sign that "Dean Chambers" realised that he could keep the racket going after the election if only he made his prediction seem closer to the truth than it actually was. So suddenly his prediction is off by "only: 70 points and not over a hundred. he does better than half a dozen "pundits", gets instant respectability, and can continue making money off the idiots he cons.

His only interview has been on the phone, when he... surprise surprise, admitted to being wrong (and that Silver was right). Something that the Barones and Scarboroughs have not done. Result? Instant credibility.

He is a scam, and he'll make money as long as there are idiots providing his sites with eyeballs.

More likely explanation is that it's cropped out of a picture with him beside someone else, and the camera focused on the middle of the scene = the trees between them in the background. Common problem with simple auto-focus systems. And it would of course be mean to suggest there were no recent pix of just the boy-wonder...

The first time I sorta felt bad for the guy but at this point I can't pity him. If he didn't know he was negligent before he sure should know now. Put down the cake and handle your business fella, this isn't anonymous hacking your site, you should have some basic level of security for god's sake.

The Third Man: I'm particularly amused that Pennsylvania is one of the suspect states. Obama won it by close to 300,000 votes. The state has a Republican governor and Republican Secretary of State....obviously those guys really fell down on the job to have so many votes stolen from them right under their noses.

The amusing thing was the only attempt at voter fraud in PA was the Republican's unconstitutional Voter ID law.

Here's what he says about PA: Link

Vote Scamming in Philadelphia

Democrats are known for years for stuffing the ballot boxes in the city of Philadelphia, often it is the margin of victory for statewide candidates who lose state wide as Democrats but can win the election by gaining enough votes among the million registered voters, as well as other votes cast, in Philadelphia.

This was true with the state of Pennsylvania in the 2012 presidential election.

Obama was reported to have won the state 2,907,448 votes to 2,619,583 for Romney, a margin of just 287,865 state wide out of more than 5.5 million votes cast. Obama's margin in Philadelphia County alone was 465,184 votes, where he won 557,024 to 91,840 including 59 voting divisions where Romney received zero votes and many more voting divisions where Romney received fewer than a half percent of the votes.

The thing is:

1) there's no was to "stuff" the ballot boxes in Philly. We used to used mechanical voting machines, and now we use an electronic analogue. They retain the vote count and are held after the election. My mother (a Republican) used to work the polls here, and she's certain there's no way you could rid or fix the numbers the machines produce, as they're triple-checked. The worst you could do is misreport, but that would get caught later.

2) I live in Philly Ward 1 (South Philly, basically the area around Pat's and Geno's), and I'm surprised that the turnout for Mitt was as high as it was. That basically represents old Italian-Americans who weren't going to vote for the "eggplant"

3) It's not surprising that there are wards which registered no votes for Mitt; (poor) people in this city aren't that smart, but they're not about to vote against their own self-interest.

4) The one thing the Democratic machine does in this city (which is perfectly legal) is give out "hand money" which is used to get taxis to get voters to polls, pay people to drive the elderly, etc. When they're in full swing, they're very good at getting the vote out, as they did in 2008 and 2012. When they're not, Republicans win in PA (as happened in 2010).

5) While PA looks fairly large, most of the middle of the state is lightly populated; 20% of the population lived in metro Philly and metro Pittsburgh, and another big chunk is split between Erie and Scranton/WIlkes-Barre. You can win as many Republican votes and as many counties as you want in the middle of the state and still not win. It's simple math.

Skleenar: If you simply start with the axiom that more voters wanted Mitt Romney as president than Barack Obama, it becomes clear, ipso facto, that there was massive vote fraud in the 2012 election.

Noam Chimpsky: This guy is way underestimating the fraud that took place. Half the Democrat votes could be fraud, not to mention the Republican votes that weren't counted or switched to Democrat votes. I knew they had the machines fixed when they started the business about Romney fixing the machines. If you are making the accusation, you are free to engage in that exact behavior because the opposition will be on the defensive.

It's easy when most of the Republicans charged with safeguarding the elections are actually Democrats in disguise.

'rats aren't gonna like the revenge.

For me the best part about that post aside from how stupid it is, is that it requires hundreds, maybe thousands, of people to pull something like that off. And every single one of them has to keep it a secret.

The director of the CIA couldn't keep it a secret that he was banging some broad on the side but a nationwide vote fraud conspiracy? Easy peasy.

What I like the best is that every point is backed up with anti-logic. Because A, then !A. there's nothing to even ask for citation from, it's beautiful.

James!: I guess that mea culpa wasn't paying the bills.  Back to crazy town!

Knew that chucklehead would be back in time for the mid-terms. He had his ass handed to him, on a silver platter, by Nate Silver and, well, reality, and so he's now spinning a new way to attract attention.

He's an asshole, plain and simple. Giving him anything other than outright, explicit derision is pointless.

Look, I think it's obvious at this point that this really is satire. I mean, I had this suspicion even with the "Unskewed" stuff but it's really obvious now. I mean, come on - "Barack O'Fraudo"? Who would say something like that unironically?

2012-11-20 02:28:13 PM

qorkfiend: I just gotta say this: if Obama really did fraud his way to victory, he and his team executed flawlessly. I mean, in addition to the massive, statewide ballot-stuffing and machine-hacking that took place all over Republican states and there's zero evidence for, he managed to get state-level polls to reflect the final outcome in advance of the election. That takes hard work and dedication.

The state polls -- excepting Gallup and Rasmussen -- were intentionally rigged to avert suspicion of voter fraud.

This was "exposed" by way of completely unsubstantiated assertions by postings on Free Republic before the election occurred.

Conceding an election is not legally binding. It's just something candidates do so they can give one last speech and look like good sports for their next try.

But I wouldn't be surprised if Nate changes his predictions at the very last minute so they almost echo mine, assuming he wants to be accurate rather than try to predict Obama winning.

At what point do they become self aware and embarrassed by this stuff?

Can any math whizzes / wanna-be Nate Silvers calculate the average and the standard deviation of the districts in the general area and tell us is ZERO is within 1 standard deviaiton from the mean?

Zero certainly does sound strange, but when you see some of the neighboring districts had like 10, or 50 votes for Romney, it's probably not as unlikely as it sounds.

Needs math.

2012-11-23 12:25:03 AM

Doc Daneeka: "Look, there are voting precincts in inner-city Philly and Cleveland where Romney got zero votes.

I'd go one further and say that voter fraud, however you do it, is not capable of eliminating votes for the other guy, it only bolsters your own guy's vote ('guy' here not being gender specific).

If the suspicious detail is that Romney got zero votes, then the only suspicion up for investigation is whether it's electoral fraud committed by electoral officials. It can't be voter fraud. It's most certainly not a legit arguement in favour of any measures relating to production of kinds of ID to "prevent voter fraud" as this would not have made any difference in respect of the detail regarding Romney's vote count.
And seriously, who the fark would be so STUPID as to rig an election and say "we got 100% of the vote" and not "we got 97 percent". Many, many dictators know this and rig elections blatantly and only the really dumb ones pretend they got unanimous support.
