Excellent birds. They're the wild kind, not those poor bloody domesticated fatsos.

There's a small group/flock/whatever you call a bunch of turkeys that live in the South Hills region of Eugene, Oregon. Every once in awhile they decide to visit the downtown area and the nearby neighborhoods. The last time they did this was last spring. Two toms and three hens ended up on the street in front of our apartment building. The toms stood in the middle of the street, staring down approaching cars. Most people just honked their horns, but one guy got the bright idea to get out of his vehicle and chase them off. He ended up being chased back to his vehicle by two very agressive toms, but escaped any injury. Several hours later there were reports that they were wandering around downtown, standing in traffic, etc. Fortunately they didn't cause any accidents.
