Diogenes: Walker: Cythraul: Looks like this scumbag wants more money.

No. Looks like he was paid off to change his story (it's a fact he was as the article states) and it was eating at him.

That's an interpretation. I could just as easily interpret that his lawyers told him he could fleece more money.

So let's not jump to conclusions.

I'm going to go with both- he got the check, the lawyers took their taste and he has buyer's remorse.

Diogenes: kid_icarus: Cythraul: Looks like this scumbag wants more money.

He also managed to pull off the rarely accomplished boomerang rape.

That's not legitimate rape, though.

Sure it is. The guy didn't get pregnant!

I don't doubt the guy but it rather dirtbag to go public. If I'm not mistaken there no doubt that there was sex between these two, isn't it just about timeframe?

Im sure he is sooo eaten up on the inside that since he changed his story again any money they gave him he will give back.......right? bwhhahahahahahahaha

Diogenes: Dr Dreidel: Diogenes: Justice needs to be served one way or the other, but...

Last week, the Smoking Gun took a look at Stephens, a struggling model/actor who has been arrested a few times on charges ranging from passing a bad check to reckless driving to robbing a former employer at knifepoint.

...the accuser isn't exactly holding a strong hand.

And it's totally impossible that someone (an abuser) would prey on someone with such a history, or that a troubled soul (perhaps there was some OTHER abuse - not Elmo-related - in his past) would again find himself in trouble?

// as you say, justice needs to be served one way or t'other
// but let's not jump to any conclusion other than "this story is farked more ways from more days than Sasha Grey's calendar"

No, that's very plausible. They are easy to prey on, and they are easy to discredit.

My question was rhetorical. It may look like the guy is money-whoring ("reverse-money-whoring", since no sex allegedly happened? Or...wait, he recanted, so that means...carry the 4...I give up), and the circumstances you mentioned don't look good for the onetime accuser, but there is also the potential that he's been or is being exploited by someone (or "one more", or "more than one"...) in this situation too.

// we agree
// huzzah! celebratory Guiness towels for everyone!

FirstNationalBastard: tallguywithglasseson: Walker: it's a fact

It's a claim. Should be easy to prove if true.

If the Sesame folks did an investigation, I can't believe they would cover for someone having sex with an underage boy.

Sesame Workshop has way too much to lose to go all Penn State. Their business IS products and entertainment for children. To harbor someone who had sex with a minor would kill the company dead.

you are talking about a homosexual orginazation protcting another homosexual, they are queer they are here and they want the kids

Lesson one: Do not date someone thirty years younger than you. That was just avoidable idiocy on Clash's part.

2012-11-19 04:02:43 PM
Almost every person I know that was molested was a farking train wreck; at least for a little while anyway. I can see this being true and the kid originally taking the money because he didn't think he'd ever seeing justice with his history.

That said, who knows? The real problem here is that CTW made Kevin a public figure over the last few years and they're deeply regretting it now. Clash has admitted to sleeping with the guy, so either way, they've got a sex scandal on their hands. Either he likes sex with men less than half his age or he's a sexual predator. Neither of these outcomes are socially acceptable.

Waldo Pepper: I don't doubt the guy but it rather dirtbag to go public. If I'm not mistaken there no doubt that there was sex between these two, isn't it just about timeframe?

Yes, the main difference is that Clash says that the accuser was eighteen at the time while the accuser says he was only sixteen at the time. The difference two years makes.

Oh right, it's because he's a crazy grifter-whore.

Maybe not socially acceptable for you. I really don't care if people want to have sex with someone half their age, as long as everyone involved is of legal age.

Since the age difference wouldn't be that big a deal if he slept with a woman, I gotta pass on having issues with him sleeping with a younger man. What's your issue with it exactly?

2012-11-19 04:10:31 PM
Kevin Clash's crime isn't that he sexed the 18 year old or even 16 year old kid. It's that he was damned cheap with his time care and money and so the kid shoplifts with no direcftion. Would it have been too much trouble to also have encouraged the kid to go to school and make something of his life or at least used his connections to get him a cushy job instead of just loving and leaving the kid?

2012-11-19 04:11:05 PM
Meh.

If doinking 16yo boys is good if done by hottie MILFs, and being gay is OK, then doinking the kid was fine.

I'm just waiting for this to go to court, and Clash's attorney turns out to be a muppet. That'll be the one time I'll say that cameras belong in a courtroom.

2012-11-19 04:19:28 PM
Speaking as someone who was once a 16 year old boy, if I were gay I would have been sexing up any other gay dudes I could. Consensually. I was old enough to know what sex was and that I wanted to have lots of it. I had to settle for whacking it because I was straight and had no game.

2012-11-19 04:19:48 PM
I'm from an old Hollywood family, and when I was a kid, I used to sit at the dinner table listen to my grandparents and their friends talk about the old days. There has always been grifters trying to fleece celebrities. The only difference that in the old days, your agent or the studio you worked for would take drastic steps to protect you.

For instance, some guy living in Mexico tried to blackmail Joan Crawford by threatening to hand over a complete collection of all of her old porn movies to the press. A few days later, his house was burned down and the blackmailer was found floating face down in the ocean.

Aside from the creepiness factor of waiting around for the kid to become legal, I personally don't care. The general public does though. Yeah, it wouldn't be AS big of a deal if it had been a girl (I think it might still be a problem), but that's not the world we live in. "Elmo's 55 year old puppeteer likes gay sex with barely-legal men" isn't exactly positive publicity in the "parent of young children" demographic.

You just can't
recant your recant
You just can't
decant some cant
And then not drink up a good sup
When your decanter's decant.

It's not right,
it's really not decent
To re-cant your recant so recent
You must stick,
stick to your story
If you aim for the glory.

So shut up,
shut the fark up
Go away and play
with your money
Cause when you
take it to fake it
You've signed a contract, honey.

HotWingConspiracy: Not really.

Unless you consider changing your story for money as an aid to credibility.

At best he has made it impossible to believe him one way or the other, and in the absence of any evidence...well it's time to move on to the next grift/armed robbery.

He's already said he was paid $125,000 by the Elmo guy to change his story. That's on the record.

If he can show that he really did receive $125,000 from the accused shortly before or after changing his story, it certainly helps his credibility at this point -- considering right now there's nothing to back up his claim (which, as I said, should be very easy to back up).

And the payoff works both ways. If the Elmo guy paid him $125,000 right around the time the accuser changed his story, that's going to be a tough one for him to explain. $125k isn't "I just wanted it to go away" money.

i dont claim to know a goddamn thing about who did what anywhere, but when listing this guys prior bad acts, does reckless driving really fit in there? hell, you can get a reckless in virginia for going to the airport at 76 miles per hour, and its like a $100 ticket. couldnt they find outstanding warrants for jaywalking or something?

In the latest twist on this story, Fozzie Bear is talking to Muppet Lawyers for fear of being sued by the Fozzie Cubs.

Here is a candid photo of Fozzie meeting with the Muppet Lawyers at the Teddy Bears Picnic recently:

Muppet Weasels are said to be among the scariest lawyers this side of the Roman Catholic Church's lawyers in molestation cases.
