Watched it with my BIL yesterday:
BIL- Wow! The Browns are up on the Cowboys.
Me (from the kitchen)- Oh yeah? Is it the fourth quarter yet?
BIL- No.
Me- That'll change.

I enjoyed the look on Jone's face, WTF?
Would have liked to see the Browns win for a change.

Yeah, the East Coast Sports Media always roots for the Colts. They never pay attention to a small market like DC.

ESPN has hyping Luck for the last three years and they've been hyping Griffin for two years now. I'm not sure why you think this has to do with what team they play for and what market they are located in. It's the same way they were hyping Philip Rivers and Eli back during the whole "I won't play for San Diego" pout fest that Eli had.

There were five or six absolutely awful calls in that game. Mostly against the Browns, but the Cowboys got screwed on the taunting penalty. Also, the play clocks malfunctioned and Dallas had about two minutes to get a play off at one point. The whole thing was replacement referific.

The Browns sacked Romo seven times. They are an exciting young defense that is a cornerback away from being really good.

Last week, after the Cowboys blew out the Eagles, all of the commentators started talking about "December Romo" and how the Cowboys were going to make the playoffs based on how easy their schedule was and how dominant Romo was in the last half of the season.

This week, the Cowboys need a few calls to go their way and get pushed to the brink by THE CLEVELAND FARKING BROWNS.

Wonder what narrative comes next?

The Cowboys also got screwed on the horse collar tackle 15 yd penalty when the Cleveland player was clearly pulled down by his long ass dreads (legal) and not his jersey or pads. Cleveland scored a TD on the next play

That's true, but that also enabled the Browns to score so quickly that the Cowboys could get the ball back and put a drive together. It's possible that Cleveland could have scored on a clock-chewing drive if they hadn't been given those yards.

Should Jerry Jones clean house after yet another failed season? Does Jerry Jones understand he is part of the problem?

You know, basically the same thing every year since the Smith/Aikman/Irvin days.

No, "clearly" as in Dez Bryant "clearly pushed off on his TD catch".

if by "anyone" you mean the two knuckleheads in the booth, I guess so. Everyone else in the stadium and those at home watching on a color tv or listening on the radio thought it was pretty clear right away. I know, because they all told me.

Meh, there have been several games this year that have had a WR or RB tackled by his hair or by the back of his pads and each time they get them for horsecollar. Same thing with blows to the head. You have to remember that the refs are watching this stuff in real time.

/remember when everyone said the replacement refs were awful and that the "real" refs would solve the problems?

Not exactly complimentary. I'd much rather float through the season under the radar rather than being trolled at every conceivable turn.

Don't get too excited about yesterday's performance. The Cowboys' O-Line is awful. "Doug Free couldn't block my grandmother."

Also, if you think Romo is the problem with the Cowboys, you don't know shiat about football & you're probably so busy focusing on him sticking out his tongue or how he wears his hat or if he's smiling at the wrong time to pay attention to the team & the coaching staff & the administration & the owner. He's WAY down the list of things that are wrong with this team. I mean WAY.

So the fark what? The Cowboys are one of the most penalized teams in the league. Why didn't the Browns capitalize on it? It's one of our biggest weaknesses & it could've easily been taken advantage of (and it was in a few cases). Penalties are part of the game, just like injuries.

San Diego's problems are all coaching/front office-based. And I don't see that as changing if Eli decided to play there way back when.

/How weird would it be, to be sitting here talking about Philip Rivers' two Super Bowl rings right now?

The Browns are not that bad this year. I know it's a lot easier to pretend they're awful based on the previous seasons than it is to watch games and have an informed opinion, but just because they sucked last year doesn't mean they're a joke again.

They ain't going to win 5 games or anything, but they've got the makings of a decent team unlike KC or Jax.

Romo actually was very close to choking the game away at the end when he threw some odd pass that could have been a fumble if it stuck into his hand a little more

2012-11-19 12:07:14 PM
He goes 35/50 for 313 and a TD, hasn't thrown an INT in 3 weeks, leads a scoring drive in overtime, wins, and does it without his Left Tackle while being sacked 7 times- and he's still getting trolled. Well played, trollmodmins.

Matt Schaub just had a 527 yard, 5 TD win that's getting ignored as per usual. Stop complaining about the constant threads the Cowboys get.
