"No! He's off the script! Break for commercial!"

Good for you, Mr. Stein.

Ben Stein is a dillhole and a farking asshat, but I'll give him a pass this one time.

Well, apparently sucking at biology doesn't stop you from knowing basic maths.

That's nice, but if Ben Stein told me that the sun rises in the East, I'd immediately begin doubting my own memory demand that he cite journal articles. He is one of a handful of special people who not only lack credibility, but actually posses what could be called "negative credibility."

The right wing chatter class still hasn't caught on that they were exposed as liars in grand fashion just 2 weeks ago.

He's in good company. Stay classy Fox:

Gutfeld: "Alright, boo on you, Ben. I disagree with everything you said, but you're both an actor and an economist. I kinda understand why you wanna raise taxes. It's about getting invited to more cocktail parties

Without actors yelling at you."

Which makes it even better. When the people who the conservative base trust the most are turning on them, you know the GOP is in trouble.

Hey Tea Party, how much does it hurt when rational Republicans start realizing that we do indeed have a revenue problem?

The problem with the GOP is that the base is not conservative, but comprised of brand fanatics and radical christianists.

Ben Stein rode that horse till it died underneath him. He now has a new horse, a Democratic horse, and he's going to ride that one until it dies, too.

soopey: Hey Tea Party, how much does it hurt when rational Republicans start realizing that we do indeed have a revenue problem?

They're already starting to accept the argument that we need more revenue and are currently arguing over how much. Now, that doesn't mean they'll immediately start believing in basic arithmetic again, but it does pave the way for them to do so after a few weeks of pretending to follow the "there are enough loopholes" argument to its conclusion. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit but I'm actually kind of hopeful that we might get some compromise on the issue finally after four straight years of int(R)ansigence.

He should disappear for two months, come back and advocate a negative 35% tax bracket for the rich and watch Megyn Kelly jump on his old balls for some pure plutocratic f*cking, Lolita-style!

They ran on not compromising. This is going to be long and ugly.

There should be a word to describe the feeling to being the last person to support/believe something and being abandoned by everyone else.

Personally, I would feel insulted and betrayed to be told something over and over again, fight the good fight for what I was told to believe and have the same people which told me what to think preemptively abandoning the idea which I was defending. Many Conservatives facing yet another collision with reality.

Donald Duck and Taxes

This awesome Disney propaganda short equates people who try to avoid paying taxes as un-American and even as Nazis. You would think in our current warfare state, this message would have been brought back by now.

if that happens the best part will be watching the faithful twist logic to explain how they were right to oppose it with all their might then, and still right to support it now.

Are you libs still fellating this Ben Stein socialist? Typical Hollywood elitist, and now we're supposed to stop trusting our gut and believe what he says? What, because he starred in some cheesy high-school comedy in the 90's?

I've got news for you, libtards, Ferris Beuller's Vacation Day was overrated pap for middle school minds, just like Keynsian economics.

I predict Dennis Miller will shift toward the left. He will still charge lots of money for his appearances but his "humor" will be more centrified.

/he has a wife and kids to feed. I'd rather be a well-paid conservative humorist than a starving liberal humorist.

Funny how times change. We have over a trillion dollars in debt and more mounting for two wars that we never paid for, but you talk about raising taxes with the people who most wanted those wars and their heads explode.

7th grade Civics is when the NEA union thugs start filling our children's minds with their Marxist Communist propaganda!

I'm watching it now, but I'd have to guess that to the GOP, paying taxes is un-American. Only rubes and the lower classes should pay them, and they're clearly not *real* Americans.

Also, the GOP is trying to classify the deficit as a spending problem and not an income problem. Increasing the tax base removes the idea that spending needs to be cut.

That's the point. Most people here aren't berating him, we're giving him a mild pat on the head for being underpy for once. Now, the asshat he was talking to... I'd like to throw him through a f*cking 34th floor window.
