domo_kun_sai: O.J. did it.
He didn't get acquitted because he was innocent. He got acquitted because he had great lawyers and the prosecutors were awful jury were idiots and predisposed to acquittal .
Done and FIFY.

IIRC the incompetence of the LAPD also had a lot to do with it -- there was that detective who apparently had been involved in racist organizations, and the crime lab may have mishandled the evidence.

hbk72777: Plug Suit: I just saw an old Oprah episode where they showed her and a whole audience reacting to the verdict, I guess, live back in 1995. It did surprise me 1) how physically ill it made me to see people CHEER for OJ; and 2) how today you wouldn't get any of those people to admit they still find him not guilty. It's as if the American collective subconscious did to him the exact opposite of what it did to its memories of Reagan.

I worked with a company full of South Americans. I was the only white guy, fresh outta High School. They played the stereo to listen to the verdict, then erupted with cheers. These assholes turned it into a racial thing. Meanwhile, a year before, O.J. was only ONLY loved by white people. Blacks and Hispanics thought he was an oreo.

But, you know, only white's can be racist.

It was also just two or three years after the Rodney King trial, so a lot of people who thought the LAPD framed OJ -- or maybe they just wanted to see the LAPD lose.

The OJ trial didn't get me to quit making judgments about whether someone was a murderer or not.

The Jon Benet disaster did. I was sure her kid brother or father killed her. UNTIL THE POLICE RELEASED DNA EVIDENCE THAT PROVED THEIR INNOCENCE.

But, yeah, OJ killed them.

greentea1985: Let me see if I get the story correctly, Discovery is claiming OJ hired a serial killer, before he was known to be a serial killer, to go steal a valuable pair of earrings from Brown and gave him permission to kill Brown and Goldman if necessary. Wouldn't this make OJ guilty of being an accessory to murder if not murder-by-hire? So OJ himself didn't kill Brown and Goldman, he got someone else to do it for him.

It would be first-degree murder under any interpretation of California statute.

Lsherm: Simpson is now serving life in prison for a recent armed robbery in Las Vegas.

Does anyone at the Daily Fail actually do any research, or do they just make shiat up as they go?

Thanks. Who gets life in prison for armed robbery anyway?
