(Telegraph)   Critics are actually saying Lindsay Lohan's portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor is incredible and moving, and should earn her an Oscar nod. Just kidding. "The best part is that it gets worse as it goes on"   (telegraph.co.uk) divider line 22

"The best part is that it gets worse as it goes on"

Much like Lindsey herself.

Or Liz, for that matter.

I wish she'd just give up and start doing hardcore porn.

We get it. Lindsey Lohan sucked in this movie. Let her die of a cocaine overdose in peace.
/I give her 6 months after this flop

On an unrelated note, are made-for-TV movies even eligible for Oscars? Has one ever received a nomination, even for costume design or best song?

To answer my own question, no, they're not.

Liz was a good woman.
Lohan won't live long enough to become one.

She could actually become a much better actress if she'd just realize she's not as great as she thinks she is

The drinking games that come from this performance should be pretty memorable.

It was the role that troubled American actress Lindsay Lohan hoped would relaunch a career derailed by stints in jail and in rehab.

Can we just, PLEASE, get something straight about LL? LL was a good child actress who could play a perky, full-of-life, All-American girl in films like Herbie Fully Loaded, Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, and she was likeable at it. She wasn't Anna Paquin, Jodie Foster or Haley Joel Osment who showed a huge amount of talent at a young age, nor was she ever Robert Downey Jr, who we all wanted to get better because by Christ he was awesome in Chaplin and his descent into booze and drugs was a tragedy of such talent.

Rhames: Lifetime, where men are evil and will beat you

Best Lifetime drinking game:

Drink a beer at every instance of verbal or mental abuse.
Do a shot at every instance of physical abuse.

If you're not drunk withing 25 minutes, hit your wife.

Did anybody think that there would be any other outcome from this? It ain't Freaky Friday.

2012-11-19 09:34:24 AM
I support the theory that Freaky Friday actually happened and Jamie Lee Curtis is using LL's body to relive her youth and go 100% berzerker.

Rhames: Lifetime, where men are evil and will beat you

Now be fair, occasionally they have films which detail the woman's profound emotional suffering when her husband or son is the victim of the beating.
