Mega Steve: Seequinn: Time Lord Titles:
The Doctor
The Master
The Rani
The Valeyard

Time Lord Names: (Or accepted contractions of the same)
Romana
Morbius
Rassilon
Borusa

It can be a fair assumption based on prior portrayals that "The Doctor" is a title assumed by the character at some point prior to his becoming a renegade Time Lord. However, it has not been
adequately established that "Doctor" could be part of a larger name, or that the word pronounced "doctor" may have different meaning in the Gallifreyan tongue than the general definition applied by other races. (Keep in mind that in "A Good Man goes to War" the word "doctor" was translated as warrior by a few races that The Doctor had previously encountered)

/For that matter "who" could be part of his name too, and not just a play on words.

For what it's worth, in The Armageddon Factor, another Time Lord named Drax refers to the Doctor by the name "Theta Sigma".

I thought they'd established that that was one of the Doctor's nicknames at the Academy.

RassilonsExWife: Well, since I couldn't get my Who preview link greenlighted, I'll just leave this here:

Lesbian lizard chick with a samurai sword, potato-headed comic relief, carnivorous snowmen. What's not to like about the Doctor Who Christmas special?

I'm not loving the whole "let's relegate one of the most brutal and warlike races of the galaxy to comic relief" thing Moffat's done with the Sontarans (yeah, I know it's just one Sontaran, still...). I do approve of further appearances by the hot lesbian Silurian and her "maid" (I can haz spinoff?)

soporific: If I ever build myself a man cave, I'm going to replace the door with a Tardis. That way you walk into the Tardis and it's bigger on the inside.

It's easy to do!

Thank you, sir. The studio side is backed with a seating area/guitar lounge with Fender amps and a flatscreen. I also have one of the last working VHS players. Truly bigger on the inside.
