marius2: So, which one of you is buying me that for Christmas?
Type40: As a big fan of Doctor Who I have no problem what soever with it being written Dr.

Luthien's Tempest: marius2: So, which one of you is buying me that for Christmas?Just as soon as I buy one for myself...I think next summer I'm going to make myself a TARDIS cabinet, but this would be way cooler if impractical for apartment living.
RassilonsExWife: Well, since I couldn't get my Who preview link greenlighted, I'll just leave this here:Lesbian lizard chick with a samurai sword, potato-headed comic relief, carnivorous snowmen. What's not to like about the Doctor Who Christmas special?
xcv: I hope it's bigger on the inside because my first thought was the loss of storage space above the fridge.
bingethinker: 99.6% of "poor" households have a refrigerator? Big deal. The fridge and stove come with the apartment. Usually the appliances are older than the renters.
CaptainBeer: When does the Christmas special air? Anyone?
Seequinn: Time Lord Titles:The DoctorThe MasterThe RaniThe ValeyardTime Lord Names: (Or accepted contractions of the same)RomanaMorbiusRassilonBorusaIt can be a fair assumption based on prior portrayals that "The Doctor" is a title assumed by the character at some point prior to his becoming a renegade Time Lord. However, it has not beenadequately established that "Doctor" could be part of a larger name, or that the word pronounced "doctor" may have different meaning in the Gallifreyan tongue than the general definition applied by other races. (Keep in mind that in "A Good Man goes to War" the word "doctor" was translated as warrior by a few races that The Doctor had previously encountered)/For that matter "who" could be part of his name too, and not just a play on words.
Mega Steve: For what it's worth, in The Armageddon Factor, another Time Lord named Drax refers to the Doctor by the name "Theta Sigma".
