Spanky_McFarksalot: Worst hotel I ever stayed at was called (I think) Capital Hotel or something in Calcutta this last summer.It was that or sleep on the street and I made the wrong choice. Filthy would have been an improvement.Calcutta was a pretty disgusting place. How they were able to make the entire city smell like urine is a mystery to me.India is off the list of travel plans for many decades
KrispyKritter: in the 60s / 70s The Thunderbird Motel in Paterson NJ was a flop house in need of its own hearse. rarely did a week pass without a few bodies making the newspapers. i think it was a Heaven's Gate where junkies, hookers, dealers, suicides and unlucky victims went for their final breath.
