(NBA)   Rajon Rondo, back in the lineup after a sprained ankle, looks rusty against Toronto. Just kidding - he had a season high 20 assists and extended his streak of consecutive games with double-digit assists to 33   (nba.com) divider line 20

And yet every season there are rumors that his team is putting him on the trading block. There has to be some reason for that.

some team wants him bad enough to offer the Celtics enough that they consider taking the deal.

On the court he's the best team general in the NBA, but off the court he's an immature, spoiled, temperamental head case.

Part of the reason why Ray Allen took less money to leave Boston for the Heat. Rondo reminds me of Danny Aigne, a player with an annoying attitude. Probably why Aigne got his finger bit during a ballgame when he played for the Celtics.

Rondo is a great palyer. Haters hate just because he looks/plays like an alien.

I read the last word and Sam's name came to mind. Glad to see I'm not the only one

Its the raptors. i mean common. Bragging about what you can do against the raptors is like saying how awesome you are for beating up the special needs kid at school.

The raptors have been the anus of the NBA since inception. MLSE has no intent on actually making a good basketball team. they just want basketball money.

Lot of truth in that. I will expect to see Rondo & Aigne here

Yeah, I know. Bleacher Report - but it's de-slided.

besides his locker room demeanor, Rondos value decreases every year. When Pierce and KG retire Rondo will be passing to ... no one in particular. he can be the best set up PG in the league, but it will not make a difference. If they didnt trade him last year, they aint gonna.

Sad to me, because after losing Ray and getting nothing for his value, and they will be losing Pierce and KG to retirement for nothing in return, ainge is going to have to rebuild the team around Rondo and very little else, using no assets other than draft picks. ainge is good in the draft but the Celts are about 5-10 years away using this method.

I'd rather go for it all while we still have even a tiny shot at a title and then pick up the pieces later. I'm quite glad that the Celtics aren't doing what OKC did and breaking up a potential champion any earlier than they absolutely have to.

I'm from southern Ontario, and I am a Celtics fan but seriously the anus? Toronto stinks but they're more like the arm pit or something, everyone knows the anus of the NBA is the Washington Wizards.
