Dwight_Yeast: syrynxx: She would get.eaten alive in the primaries. Unless she winks a lot.

I read that as "eaten alive by primates" which I think is an even better idea.

Great, now I have this mental image of several popes sitting down to dine on a roast Palin with an apple in her mouth. I may need therapy...

kmmontandon: As a Democrat, this idea terrifies me. There's no way we could field a candidate of Palin's intellect and popularity in 2016.

I sure hope they don't nominate her. Please don't nominate Palin, Br'er Tea Party!

If she were smart,

I think I see the flaw in your cunning plan.

Linux_Yes: Palin sure looks better than ronald reagan, for what that is worth.

Well, yeah. He's been dead for almost ten years, so they'd have to get him to makeup and wardrobe before he could truly contend.

Palin is the cure for the GOP's current woes like staying drunk is a cure for hangovers.

the opposite of charity is justice: Do these people not realize that Palin is *laughing* at anyone dumb enough to buy her routine?

Then she must be laughing at herself because I'm pretty sure she takes herself seriously.

2012-11-17 10:17:55 PM
She turns "ignorance" into "performance art." Her analytical reasoning consists of one long "la-la-la-la-la-la-la I can't hear you!" She's a charismatic leader for people who can't engage in critical thought.

A perfect Republican candidate.

2012-11-17 10:21:29 PM
Good luck with that...

TFerWannaBe: TommyymmoT: I voted yes in the survey. PLEASE let her run.

Same.

GOP, go ahead. I double-dog-dare you to do it.

Oh yeah. Absolutely. She couldn't laugh at herself any better than--well, any better than Mittens could.

I really don't care for platform/wedge heel sandals.

I keep thinking they weigh twelve pounds each and are made of solid lead.

If she would run topless I would have to take a good, long, hard look @ her

Kittypie070: I really don't care for platform/wedge heel sandals.

Back in the day they were made of cork or rattan or something like that. And with about as much stability and support, IIRC. They were the first and last heels I ever wore, and the ones I first broke my ankle falling off of.

2012-11-17 11:28:10 PM
[blinks stupidly]

Mmmmrff, 1 cubic inch of lead weighs A, volume of wedge heel sandal in cubic inches x 2 = B, solve for total weight X.

I, I, I n-n-n-never took basic physics in high school (did we even HAVE it!?) and I've forgotten all my geometry over the intervening almost 3 decades.

Halp :(

2012-11-17 11:40:06 PM
Oh dear, Gyrfalcon :(

I never wore those horrid wedge things, just standard types of high heels. I guess my luck with the things has been because they HAD to be absolutely perfectly balanced [long axis of shoe heel must match 100% with long axis of lower leg through bones of heel] or I wouldn't wear them.

I had to feel as if I were tippy-toeing barefoot on a stone floor. It's hard to explain properly.

2012-11-17 11:41:32 PM

kronicfeld: I'm honestly starting to believe that conservative pundits are actually moderate Democrats who have been running a false flag operation since 2004.

I share this suspicion. It actually gives me hope in a twisted way. I don't want to think that people can be LIKE that.

Ennuipoet: FTA: Sarah Palin is the new Ronald Reagan: charming and affable and unwilling to back down if she's right. I can't see what's wrong with that.

I just peed myself a little while laughing.

She also has the George W. Bush quality of never backing down when she's wrong either.

But her becoming President would be momentous, as no President in American history has had as thin a skin as Sarah Palin.

2012-11-18 12:01:44 AM
My question is...what's this guy's definition of 'blue collar'?

'Blue collar' refers to a physical labor job or a job that would not be behind a desk (white-collar).

She's been a beauty pageant contestant, local sports reporter, city councilwoman, mayor, governor, and professional pundit.

NONE OF THOSE JOBS ARE BLUE COLLAR!

200+ comments and no one has asked if she looks tired.

Don't you think she looks tired?

From the JSON reply after voting:

"answers": [{"percentage": 44, "totalVotes": 1303, "id": 8260133, "image": null, "title": "Yes"}, {"percentage": 56, "totalVotes": 1676, "id": 8260135, "image": null, "title": "No"}]

Looks like it needs fewer than 400 yes votes.
That should be possible to do in a about 5 minutes..

Wait, I guess I should apologize to Jesse Jackson for that comparison.. even today, he'd be a better president than Sarah Palin.

Yeah, but is it any more valid than all those people from other states "signing" Louisiana's petition to secede, hoping that would push them over the 25,000-signature limit? Does it count if 3/4 of your signatures are fakes?

to be honest, I'd rather have her in office rather than get a new reality show.

If a few clicks convince the Teahadists to run Palin, then validity be damned. Biden/Warren 2016!

Like believing that she hunts wolves from a helicopter, then a few years later holding a gun for the first time on TV?

If her nomination came after a hard fought open and honest primary perhaps.
