"...as one blog commenter quipped."

And people say journalism is dead.

2016 will be Jeb vs. Hillary and Hillary will win. Ted Cruz would have had a chance but for birthers shooting their wad on Obama. Christie no because health issues. Santorum lololololol. Rubio and Jindahl can run in 2020 and beyond, but those youngsters were born in the 1970s.

FeedTheCollapse: jake_lex: Sarah Palin will do the same thing in 2016 she did in 2012: she'll hint that she's running for President, collect donations from the rubes, and not run.

And she will do that again in 2020. And 2024. Etc. etc.

Because she's a con artist.

yeah, precisely this. A Presidential run would make it more difficult* for her to collect cash for her own personal gain, so she'll do the bare minimum required to get A) money and B) keep her name out in the open to get more money down the road.

Naw, she would never do something like that.

This makes me wonder if McCain ever commented on "Game Change". Steve Schmidt said it was accurate.

Did he say that on MSNBC to keep his liberal overlords happy? That guy is a farking light switch depending on where he shows up.

Just like Fox News is delighted to turn up the rage factor now that Obama won again, NBC and their child MSNBC will be happy to see this on 2 fronts.

My only problem is the disgust I had with her for choosing not to run this year.

And it would more likely be Palin/Perry, not Bachmann.

Gun/Taco 2016 or Taco/Gun 2016, either way there is a certain appeal to it. Heck, it might attract the Latin flavored voters.

The article mentioned her views on states' rights while discussing her views, and said that she was against it but she might like states deciding it. Well gay marriage isn't a states' rights issue, it's a citizen's right issue, to practice their fundamental right to marry who they wish. Interracial was first allowed by certain states, but it was then allowed nation-wide because it was infringing on the fundamental rights of all the states that banned it. Gay marriage should either allowed nation-wide by a ruling of SCOTUS or by congress. The former is much more likely to happen, but in either case it would be allowed nation-wide. There is absolutely no reasonable defense to gay marriage bans, and so it should be allowed everywhere, not forcing gays to either move to those select few states or staying unmarried.

kmmontandon: As a Democrat, this idea terrifies me. There's no way we could field a candidate of Palin's intellect and popularity in 2016.

The last thing we need is a strong, conservative woman to run for president. I'm absolutely terrified of Palin. In 2016, Obama is going DOWN!

2012-11-17 08:18:01 PM
I'm pretty sure she's still running for president. Whether she's on the actual ballot or just the ballot that exists in the minds of certain Republicans is another matter.

I'm really afraid of a strong, conservative woman like Sarah Palin! She'll win the 130% of the women's vote, and she'll even get a big chunk of the black vote (Glenn Rice has been spreadin' the word around).

"She's hot, she's blue collar, she's electable."

I love how her supporters always put "she's hot" or some variation thereof first on the list of qualities Mrs. Palin brings to the table.

Oh please make this happen Republicans. Just make sure to pick a good running mate for her who can be ready to step in when she quits for a spot on Dancing with the Stars.

Sadly, it will never go beyond a money-grabbing publicity stunt in the GOP primaries. She doesn't have the work ethic to run a serious campaign, much less to do the actual job. And her little bus tour during the last GOP primaries were a total joke. Unfortunately, even in today's GOP, she's too much of a punchline to get nominated.

Her sticking around is great for comedians and Democrats, though.

Now see, I said very clearly throughout the Republican primaries that Sarah Palin wasn't only the GOP's best hope to defeat Obama in 2012: she was their only hope. Instead of listening to the advice of people like me, they nominated the guy who seemed most electable to them. Where did that get them? An historical drubbing. That's because Palin Americans won't get out to vote for anyone but one of their own.

And people accused me of "trolling." Harumph.

Heed this advice well, conservatives: you want to win in 2016, your only hope is Sarah Palin. Especially if Hillary runs. She is your party's next Ronald Reagan.
