does anyone else see the penis in that picture? because it looks like she's about to deep throat that microphone.

2012-11-17 06:14:08 PM

jst3p: She was writing a response to this idea, but she quit halfway through.

This is why I always refer to her as Sarah "No-call, No-show" Palin.

2012-11-17 06:14:22 PM
So some people look at her, and they see someone that represents them, and that they want to elect to the highest office in the country?

This isn't the farking prom, morans.

2012-11-17 06:14:27 PM
Oh god I hope they don't do this. She riles up the conservatives so much, I don't know if the Dems could field a candidate who would give such an enthauistic turnout. Also, as a Lib, it would really piss me off to see her even nominated for the candadicy.

2012-11-17 06:14:59 PM
DO IT RETARDS

2012-11-17 06:15:13 PM
She's hot,

Debatable, I guess if you like the "soccer mom" look.

she's blue collar,

She's never worked a blue-collar job in her life.

she's electable.

She can't even get elected governor of Alaska, at this point. Hell, she might have trouble being elected Mayor of Wasilla again.

2012-11-17 06:16:09 PM

mrshowrules: kmmontandon: As a Democrat, this idea terrifies me. There's no way we could field a candidate of Palin's intellect and popularity in 2016.

Gabriel Gifford?

I feel bad for lol at that...

But in any case I voted yes on that poll, I want to see the GOP run Palin in 2016, because I want to see the GOP burn to the ground.

2012-11-17 06:16:24 PM
Never fails to surprise me that people exist who don't realize she was just in it for the money.

Why do these people even consider her a politician at this point? Where was she in 2010 or 2012, why wasn't she running for a Senate seat or aiming for the repub prez nomination? Politics is hard work, she can sit back in Wasila beaming an interview to Fox every now and then, merely hitting at a political career so folks will donate to SarahPAC but never actually doing anything/

Do these people not realize that Palin is *laughing* at anyone dumb enough to buy her routine?

2012-11-17 06:16:27 PM
didn't she debate biden last time? and didn't fare too well?

/if already mentioned, forgive!

2012-11-17 06:17:14 PM

Hunter_Worthington: does anyone else see the penis in that picture? because it looks like she's about to deep throat that microphone.

Well, at least they didn't airbrush that shot at all. *eyeroll*

Glad to see she's still sporting the fake glasses. Too bad they can't make her sound any smarter.

2012-11-17 06:17:31 PM

This Face Left Blank: Do it! Do it! Do the deed! Liz Warren will run on the Dem ticket, and, unlike Biden, she can eviscerate Palin during the debates without looking like a bully.

If we're going to assume stereotypes like that will still be powerful four years from now, why not go with "Biden's not going to let himself get beat up by a girl this time"?

2012-11-17 06:17:56 PM

kbronsito: Vodka Zombie: Well... She's got four years to learn... something...

Anyway, as a democrat, I too am terrified of this strong, conservative woman. There's no way we can win. She will crush us. Please, Republicans! I'm begging you to be merciful and not run Palin in 2016.

Didn't it take her about 8 years to do her undergrad? (And she didn't seem to learn much)

Six years and five schools to get a four-year degree in reading text from teleprompters.

Followed by a few years as town crier, one-term as mayor of a laundromat and a half-term as governor of an expanse of nearly-uninhabitable tundra the size of the moon.

2012-11-17 06:18:25 PM
Yeah I'd like to see her and Hillary debate.

2012-11-17 06:19:12 PM
Yeah, yuck it up, libroccolis, but you KNOW deep in your heart that if Sarah had run this year instead of Mittens, Bareefer Obonghit would be packing his U-Haul boxes right about now.

2012-11-17 06:24:04 PM
FTA: Palin can more than keep up with the Democrats in appealing to voters' emotions.

Well, disgust and revulsion are emotions I guess...

2012-11-17 06:25:25 PM

CapeFearCadaver: SnakeLee: A national exit poll conducted by CNN asked voters whether Palin was a factor in their voting. Of those who said yes, 56% voted for McCain versus 43% for Barack Obama.

At first I thought that was just a hugely misleading statistic, but I looked it up and 60% of 2008 voters said that Palin was a factor in their voting. If that 56% number is true, then 33.6% of all votes were basically voting for Palin. That is kind of scary, actually

My parents LOVE her. Yes, it's very scary.

Not really looking forward to Thanksgiving, huh.

Somewhere between Jar Jar Binks and Scrappy-Doo.

2012-11-17 06:26:39 PM

whatsupchuck: Sarah Palin is the new Ronald Reagan: charming and affable and unwilling to back down if she's right.

Also, and greatly more frequently, unwilling to back down when she's wrong.

Also possibly in early onset dementia, based on her word salad control of the english language.

2012-11-17 06:27:12 PM
Sarah Palin will do the same thing in 2016 she did in 2012: she'll hint that she's running for President, collect donations from the rubes, and not run.

And she will do that again in 2020. And 2024. Etc. etc.

Because she's a con artist.

2012-11-17 06:28:14 PM
Why, this is an excellent idea! I wholeheartedly endorse it.

Once you unskew the polls and harmonize the statistical quirks, her favorability is at about 750%. Eat it, libs!

As a liberaltardo this scares the hell out of me. One thing us liberaltardos can't handle is a strong conservative women that has determination and won't quit until she achieves her objective at any cost.

Proceed, GOP.

2012-11-17 06:35:50 PM
So, to answer everyone's question of would the GOP learn their lesson from this past election, this would be a resounding NO, correct?

Ah, nevermind.

Well, she's attractive, her experience with beauty pageants has given her poise, and her reality show on The Learning Channel got better ratings than the GOP Conven--oh wait, I'm confusing her with someone else. . .

That's also kind of tough to argue, as Carl has leveled up in badassery as of lately.

Hmmm... Wesley Crusher, maybe? Kim Bauer? Cousin Oliver from The Brady Bunch? The Star Wheel from Match Game '78?

This is just more evidence of the ineptness of the GOP. Whoever likened their strategies to "Cargo Cults" is absolutely right. They see what they perceive as the strengths of the left and try to emulate them, without actually understanding them.

Blowmonkey: This is just more evidence of the ineptness of the GOP. Whoever likened their strategies to "Cargo Cults" is absolutely right. They see what they perceive as the strengths of the left and try to emulate them, without actually understanding them.

Oh, really, come on now. Cargo cults are a bit of a stretch.

... although you know, as an analogy... okay, maybe it isn't half bad.

The primary association in cargo cults is between the divine nature of "cargo" (manufactured goods) and the advanced, non-native behavior, clothing and equipment of the recipients of the "cargo". Since the modern manufacturing process is unknown to them, members, leaders, and prophets of the cults maintain that the manufactured goods of the non-native culture have been created by spiritual means, such as through their deities and ancestors, and are intended for the local indigenous people, but that the foreigners have unfairly gained control of these objects through malice or mistake.[1] Thus, a characteristic feature of cargo cults is the belief that spiritual agents will, at some future time, give much valuable cargo and desirable manufactured products to the cult members.[1]

Yeah, i can see it, I guess.

/grumble grumble
//that's just sad
