SilentStrider: NuttierThanEver: We need a old bitter Blackadder in Thatchers cabinet setting

I'd watch that.

Only if they can get Hugh Laurie to play Margaret Thatcher....

Uncle Pooky: Coco LaFemme: I thought his Mr. Bean performance at the Olympics was hysterical. That said, I agree with everyone else; bring back Blackadder. I have laughed so hard during Blackadder episodes that I've nearly thrown up. I love showing episodes of Blackadder the Third to people and saying, "See that dorky guy playing Prince George? That's House. Yes, Dr. House. No, I'm not lying. Seriously, that's Hugh Laurie. No really, it is."

Apparently you associate with some rather moronic people.

I recall the first time I watched Jeeves and Wooster, squinted for half a tick, and exclaimed "it's Dr. House!"

Quite right.

Sometimes, you need filet mignon.

Sometimes, you need an unapologetically greasy burger.

One of my favorite Mr Bean episodes is when he goes to an upscale restaurant and orders steak tartare.

Full episode and here is all the live episodes on YouTube.

If you have Netflix they have Mr Bean available for streaming. Mr. Bean: The Whole Bean, Mr. Bean: The Animated Series, plus Bean: The Movie.

That's a whole lotta Bean. :-D

Henceforth, watching Mr. Bean on Netflix will be referred to as "flicking the bean" in my domicile.

Yuppo.

Tried to like Bean but never could quite managed it.

Kept missing BA, particularly the 3rd season.

Did quite enjoy RA's turn as The Doctor in the Classic Comic relief parody of Doctor Who.

Some funny stuff.

/Fer extra geek love points ya also gots Jonathan Pryce, Richard E. Grant, Hugh Laurie and Joanna Lumly as the first female Doctor.

Agreed with everyone above... the world needs another Blackadder series. If nothing else, just to get Fry and Laurie together again on-screen (why did we never get Fry or Atkinson on House - even as one-scene clinic patients?).

Slaxl: I thought you guys loved it, I never met anyone here who liked Mr Bean into adultivity so I assumed there was some big foreign market he was playing to.

I always assumed it was simply a children's show on your side, and never intended for any adults.

Cool story, bro: I was flying back from San Francisco & my Nook died. Bored out of my mind until the kid next to me started watching the 2nd Bean movie on his laptop. Creepily watched the movie over his shoulder the entire flight, trying not to crack up. Finally got caught when Bean switched places when the girl fell asleep driving. Luckily, the kid didn't mind and moved the laptop so I could see better.

Great thing about slapstick--don't need dialogue. Was able to follow the entire move without sound.

That being said, Bean's played out. Go back to Blackadder!!

Same here. I think the fact he can play both characters shows just how talented he really is. Not to mention, his American accent is flawless.

I'll agree with that, but wasn't Mr. Bean done with anyway? I thought the series ended years ago and it's been a number of years since the movie. Were people actually hoping for another one? BTW, I thought the movie sucked compared to the TV shows anyway.
