starlost: i would think this guy would have 2 million of his own money to start the project. or does someone who has been a video game designer, programmer hollywood, film producer and film director make about as much as the creepy girl at taco bell?
Githerax: Can I pull of multi-trillion-dollar Ponzi schemes in this one?/back to EvE
ZeroCorpse: Look, nobody pays me ahead of time for a book that I plan to write and release in two years' time.
Teufelaffe: ZeroCorpse: Look, nobody pays me ahead of time for a book that I plan to write and release in two years' time. You have no idea how the publishing business works, do you?As for the game, his pre-Alpha looks better than many finished games.
RageAgainstTheMachine: I notice the link has a referral ID.... cunning, subby, very cunning.
mason4300: to anyone that cares, subby is using you to get himself referral rewards if you use his link to sign up for the game.

What sort of game is this going to be? MMO, RTS, Sim?
ZeroCorpse: I'm interested. Really, I am.However, I'm not going to pay for a product that won't be in my hands until November 2014. I think the goal is noble, and the concept is sound. I just prefer to put my money into the finished product when and if it arrives.
Lord Bear: I'm in on this, Wasteland 2 and Project Eternity. All 3 have pretty good pedigree, and it doesn't hurt that WL1 and the x-wing games are my favorite games of all time.
redmond24: Looks very interesting. Truly does.BUTCryEngine?[17.media.tumblr.com image 400x300]Putting down $60 on a CryEngine game is basically a bill to pay $200+ for a new PC rig.I'll play the demo in 2014 to see if i can run it first. And for this kinda game, you really should run it beautifully.
LazarusLong42: Man... this is far, far too tempting. $35 for likely multiple days' worth of entertainment, plus Alpha/Beta access?
crab66: Currently at 4.2million it's the most successful game crowd-funding venture in history. Not really.
drake113: Damnit! What part of "I'm On A Farking Budget" do these people not understand?!?
madgonad: I'm stoked that they are allowing boarding and EVA actions including combat. I guess I wasn't the only one paying attention while watching Firefly.
JohnnyC: madgonad: I'm stoked that they are allowing boarding and EVA actions including combat. I guess I wasn't the only one paying attention while watching Firefly.Well... if it hits 4 million it they are. Magnetic boots FTW. :)
