If he wants to write another song about a major disaster, he can write about Gary Bettman's time as commissioner of the NHL.

The legend lives on from the owners on down
of the lawyer they called "Greedy Gary."
Never moves, it is said, a single hair on his head
when negotiations by November turn gloomy.
With bullshiat galore twenty-six thousand tons more
than that greasy commissioner weighed empty,
'players get screwed' and the fans you do too,
when "Lockout in November" came early

Meanwhile, the Wings' Ian White says what we've all be saying for days weeks months years forever.

Also, read Bill Simmons' column from yesterday where he calls for Bettman's head.

I can't believe people listened to hockey once on a radio of all contraptions. So quaint.

Gordon Lightfoot is a year younger than my Dad...listening to him talk about the 50s Leafs brings back a lot of memories of my Dad. This video made me a little sad for that reason. But Lightfoot is always cool!

[bored hipster voice] Well, that's nice, unyon, but lets see you do that for the seven stanza's that Lightfoot's song has. [/bored hipster voice]

But seriously, that's awesome, unyon, I love that song and the lyrics.

I was adopted by an American Irish-Catholic couple. But I know that Gordon was my real dad. I forgive him his geographical fandom. Hell, there was a time I liked the Rockies. We're all victims of place and circumstance.
