HotWingAgenda: I'm as pro-gun control as anyone else (the 2nd amendment only guarantees a well-regulated militia's right to bear arms, i.e. the police and National Guard troops). But this is a total non-story. This guy is in compliance with the law, whether or not the law is in compliance with the Constitution.

National Guard wasn't even thought of until 100 years after the 2nd was written. And, SCOTUS has ruled that only military type arms are protected (Miller v US) and that having a gun is in fact an individual right (Heller).

Go try again... but first, fill out this paperwork, do a background check, and wait for 3 to 10 days before exercising your first amendment rights again. And go thru the same process each and every time you want to.

bronyaur1: What is the over/under for how long before a mass shooting is committed by some nut who bought his weapon at this place?

Never....because California has really strict gun laws and nobody ever gets shot there.

Just asking questions....

Assuming that most of the dealers do about the same level of business (high volume ones will be on the far end of a bell curve I bet) and that there are about 250,000 FFLs int he US, and we get a mass shooting every, well, we'll say 2 years.

That's 500,000 "dealer years" between shootings.

So, there's your answer. 500,000 years.

Ladies and gentlemen, I've been to Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, and I can say without hyperbole that this is a million times worse than all of them put together.

Fark It: Probably the same as any other FFL-holder, relative to sales volume.

I was told there would be no math.

HotWingAgenda: i.r.id10t: And, SCOTUS has ruled that wharrgarrrbl

The Supreme Court has also ruled in the past that black people have to be kept separate from white people. They are clearly susceptible to being dead wrong about what the Constitution says.

And well-regulated militias were in existence at the time of the drafting of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, as evidenced by the fact that they f*cking specified that the 2nd Amendment was for their benefit. The amendment was written in to appease anti-Federalists who were concerned about the Federal government using its armed forces to dominate the state governments.

So, an individual right to keep and bear arms is an injustice that is on par with segregation and Jim Crow?

tukatz: Geez, would they rather he sell drugs from the condo? They guy has a legit online business. He's not hiding anything and has all the necessary paperwork.

His nosy neighbors need to get jobs and mind their own business.

But that would cut into the time they need to keep tabs on their list of suspects.

Jesus was a carpenter. Why can't I wear a set of six shooters to Sunday mass?
