(YouTube)   From MST3K season 6, it's Zombie Nightmare, an unintentionally hilarious film and one of MST3K's best that Mike, Crow, and Servo point out gave the world Tia Carrere. "Ever since dad got murdered, things have been great"   (youtube.com) divider line 24

These MST3K posts are cool, even if it has Mike instead of Joel. Joel ruled.

Well, to be perfectly honest, Mike was better. In fact, Mike wrote some of Joel's material.

No, Joel was better. Joel was a natural. Mike is the guy in high school that thought he was hilarious and got the lead in all the "funny" plays that the drama department performed.

Goddammit, stop the Mike/Joel debate already.

Thanks subby. This is one that we *didn't* have on VHS tape at home so it's been quite awhile since I've seen it. Lazy awesome Saturday night since i was out all day and most of the evening anyhow. Sweet.

Jesus Flipburger Christ, they were both good in their own ways... do we have to do this *every* MST3K thread? Personally, I think Mike is a *smidge* funnier (I like the slightly meaner digs), but I love Joel's stoner persona (excellent fit for the slower films in the early seasons). What the hell is wrong with liking them both?

The quality of Joel/Mike really depended, I think on the lack of quality of the film. They really had to force some of the material for some of the movies, but Joel's short films and Manos were hilarious, as were Mike's The Final Sacrifice and so on. Regardless of who did them, some films were almost too godawful to watch, even with comedy.

And this guy produced the movie and played the zombie - which explains how this movie failed so hilariously:

All this palaver and jibber-jabber about whether Joel or Mike was best obscures the fact that there aren't
anywhere near enough pics of Tia Carrere in this thread:
