I like knees to the head of a grounded opponent, but not kicks, and think that strikes to the back of the head should be allowed as well.

Definitely need to allow up kicks to the head. Teach the people who sit in someone's guard that they should advance.

Those are allowed, thank dog.

Where? You can't kick the head of a grounded opponent, even from your back. You should be allowed to knee or kick the shiat out of them from that position.

Yeah, I misunderstood. Up kicks aren't allowed to a grounded opponent. They should be.

It helped me out, heh.

How long does Goldberg go without taking a piss? He's been rather talkative throughout the prelims.

I think he meant if the opponent in the guard is grounded up kicks should be legal...

...and now that I think about it, I agree with that. I don't like soccer kicks or face stomps, but upkicks I could support.

That's exactly it. Did you see King Mo v Mousasi? Imagine if Mousasi could have kicked Mo in the melon when Mo decided to just sit in Mousasi's guard.

Poison Appleseeds: That was me in Spanish class. Luckily I took my second required semester as an online course and only had to go to campus to talk my tests into a recorder in the corner of the library. I felt like such a fool trying to speak it. I know I sounded ridiculous. I'm bad enough at public speaking in english. Ofcourse in my case I couldn't understand it either.

Yeah. It's just a funny thing about how the brain works. You have unconscious circuits wired for language acquisition that work much better when you aren't trying to force yourself to do a thing. The problem with most learners is we force our frontal lobe to intervene when trying to speak, because we're so concerned about getting it right, and that actually trips us up.

Think about how it is when you first learn how to tie a knot. You have to think about it a lot, and fark up for awhile even when you "know" it. But eventually other circuits in the brain take over, and you do it without even thinking.

Yeah, totally agreed. Your motion has been adopted into the Testiclaw Opinion System™.

I'm fine with the rules the way they are, except the 12 to 6 elbow rule is stupid. Blows to the back of the head are dangerous and I'd rather not see my favorite athletes paralyzed from the neck down.

My proposed rule change: allow kicks to the head of a grounded opponent if the kick is delivered at an upward angle.

This fixes the guard sitters and fixes the times when a dude just puts one finger to the mat so he can't be knees in the face.

It's also like that with writing a new language. If you start writing in Arabic for example, you will actually be drawing it in the beginning, and only writing it after you've started to get it down.

12-6 is stupid too. Funny thing is 3-9 from the right does more physical damage. Top of the head is solid. Orbital bone isn't.

When I get really shiathammered, I start to revert to Spanish or Spanglish. I haven't spoken conversational Spanish in years. I can't pull it off when I want to, sober and intentionally, as I mutter. Drunk? Clear and conversational.

Agreed, I think the knockdown sealed it. I could see the cut and sub attempt going the other way though.

wow.. tough round...
I had Garza based on agression for half the round, but then leaned Homminick based on skill.. then at the takedown with a minute left, I leaned more Homminick, but then Garza hurt him pretty bad towards the end..
tough.. I'm gonna go 10-9 Homminick
