What_Would_Jimi_Do: OSULugan: Is there a possibility of another AP split if OSU wins next week, ND loses, and the BCS National Championship game features 2 1-loss teams, while OSU sits at home?

it really doesn't matter what they do. they shouldn't even be ranked.

You just going to troll everybody?

They aren't ranked in the BCS

Well, crap. Looks like we are going to have another all SEC national championship game this year....Lame.

Let's see how I can put this...

Sombody set the BCS up the bomb.

coolio mack: Matt Barkley probably isn't going to play next week. Also, Oregon won't even be playing in it's own conference title game, so they are out of the national picture.

Damn, forgot about that. ND vs Bama.

i meant to say that OSU shouldn't be ranked period. AP or whatever. OSU shouldn't be mentioned any where this year.

You spelled UGA wrong.

No, once UGA goes down next week to... I can't even finish it. I'm going to start loading up on booze.

UGA only has a slightly harder game than bama and only barely...

As an Ohio State fan, I would like to be on the record that they nowhere near deserve a #6 AP ranking. They are a notch above mediocre, but their record is inflated because they played a crap non-conference schedule and the Big 10 as a whole is crap.

Good thing their season doesnt actually matter.

#6 or better works for me. We're the best in a weak B1G, sure, but its not like we lost to Aggie, Stanford, or Baylor.

You barely beat a BAD Cal team in your house, you aren't 6, you're maybe 10, if you beat Michigan next week.

Again: We've beaten Nebraska and Wisconsin. We didn't lose to Aggie, Stanford, or Baylor.

Run the table and then you can talk. If not, don't blame the Buckeyes.

Well, this weekend sucks. I guess it's karma for enjoying the Bama loss so much.

/Refuse to root for ND or USC next week. I wish they could both lose.

steamingpile: bionicjoe: steamingpile: No, it's because Boise would get stomped playing a full schedule and Oregon played lsu last year and got rolled, they scored two late 4th quarter TDs to make it less embarrassing. And that was a team who has a shiat offense.

Oh look, it's you again.
No doubt the SEC was tops last year, but they're not this year. Almost every week you can hear people with a vote in the polls talking about what SEC teams traditionally do. As if Bear Bryant's wins in the 1960's have bearing on today's games or last year's wins makes them tough this year.

Boise can't win a bowl game.
Boise can't win another bowl game.
Boise can't win a regular season game against the SEC on the road.
Boise can't win against 13 consecutive #1 ranked teams playing on Jupiter.

Exactly how far can you move goalposts anyway?

My goalposts haven't been moved, I have stated the entire time that Boise wouldn't be undefeated in a real conference and in fact I have a bet on that. Any team can get lucky one game or catch a team in a down year but playing in a conference that is full of teams other conferences would get mocked for playing cupcakes then they have no argument at all.

Also you are talking to the wrong person about wanting every team in the SEC to win, I hate the rest of the teams if they all lose I would just laugh. If I could I would steal bear Bryant's fedora and take a giant shiat in it then stuff it on his statue.

So obviously you were arguing with another SEC fan because I just say the conference is tough.

Dude

Yeah I knew I would touch a nerve but it was to prove my point to stop idiots from thinking all of us cheer for the conference. Some may hate when teams lose but there is still a part of us giggling like a little school girl when teams we hate lose and we all know it.

Its just hate for teams coming out of the most dominant conference the past 20 years.

Its never ending, people would find a reason to biatch. Don't worry they will be going to a 9 conference game season and get rid of one of these games.

So basically it could be ND/Alabama for the title. If that's the case Saban's the luckiest bastard around.

bulldg4life: chewielouie: bulldg4life: puffy999: After analysis, I don't think the call should have been overturned, but whatever. Doesn't matter. Alabama and Georgia (and Florida, for some stupid f*cking reason) are ejaculating right now.

Florida doesn't matter.

Georgia and Alabama are playing for the SEC championship. No matter what happens, Florida isn't going to get high enough in the polls to matter. The undefeateds losing will probably stay ahead of them.

Not so fast my friend. If Florida were to beat FSU next weekend, a long shot for sure, they would be ranked higher than Oregon and K State. If ND loses to USC, then above them as well. They would then play the winner of the Bama/GA game. They would have to play a stellar game against FSU though.

There's no way an SEC team not in the championship game plays in the NCG two years in a row.

Never in a million years.

If USC beats ND next week, which is very likely, AND UF beats FSU, highly unlikely with their offense playing the way it has, but if they win, they are in.

These Florida fans dream crazier than us UGA fans, there is no way UF gets there over UGA or even against a team who beat UGA. Its going to be the sec champ vs whoever is left, people can cry but that's the way its going to be.
