Watch Bill Maher's opening monologue from last night. He does a great piece on exactly this.

My mom has been non-stop with the facebook posts DEMANDING!!!1111111111 answers on Bengay...er...Benihana...Ben Gazzarra...er...this scandal (she's spelled it several different ways).

I kind of conflated two things in the previous post. Meant to say that my mom has been feverishly trying to connect the Petraeus scandal and the Benghazi issue.

They haven't successfully even connected the Benghazi issue to itself.

Because that's what all this is: trying to turn Benghazi into some kind of scandal, and it smacks of desperation the likes of which would make those who tried to make Milhouse a meme embarrassed for them.

This might be a dumb question - what exactly is the Benghazi scandal? I mean what is it they think Obama did?

I was trying to argue this with some loons on Breitbart yesterday with predictable results. The only thing they seem to have is the diplomatic cable from one month prior from Stevens that apparently went unheeded by the state department. I'm not sure how I'm should respond to that, any help?

It's simple really. When you look at the big picture and realize it's all just the GOP trying to mis...SQUIRREL!

Sorry, where was I?

"Lied" to the American People by not saying precisely what they think he should have when they think he should have.

2012-11-17 10:36:49 AM
Because the GOP loves America so much, they are going to spend the next four years trying to impeach Obama and in the process waste millions of dollars. This is unprecedented and hasn't been done since... the last Democrat President.

The White House should be selecting its interns based on the sexiness of their facebook photos just to keep the wingnuts busy.

There is no way to help them. This is a matter of faith - not a matter of evidence. Politics can turn a man of science into a man of god (god, of course, being the apotheosis of the Republican Party) and nothing you say or do in a political context (like a Breitbart Forum) can ever fix it.

As I said in another thread, this photo is basically Obama's attraction to people under-40 in a nutshell. He gets it. He's the first Internet president, and the old and out-of-touch like Kerry, McCain, Romney, and a host of failed candidates have trouble even comprehending what it is they don't get. Even if you told Romney it's an Internet thing, he would conclude it's something he simply cannot get - like it's a pop-culture reference rather than a deeper flaw in his life experience.

When on acid, I've seen tables breathe, rivers of mulch become rivers of snakes, and watched trees turn paisley. Yet I maintained greater situational awareness with respect to reality than these tools. (Even when on acid, I knew I was seeing optical tricks played by physiological affects of the drug.)

And unless the committee that investigates this ends up with Obama's lynching in the public square, it will be deemed "a libtard partisan" committee, and the "conspiracy" will continue to be believed.

Depends on what that cable contained. I mean there is a big difference in requesting additional troop support and a request for the soon to be, well maybe, maybe not so defunct pallet of delicious Hostess Twinkies.

This really is pretty awesome. If I had the energy right now I might try to go off on a right wing rant about 0bama (my autocorrect just changed that to 0bamato, what's that about?) wasting time and taxpayer money posing for ridiculous photos from internet memes, and what's next, a guest spot in gosh.o? So pretend that I did that and it was really impressive.

Seriously though, funny stuff.

Hey guys, I've got friends in the DC area and they told me about reports from the White House Cafeteria that if Jill Kelly plops her fat ass down on your toilet, you better get the plunger. SHE BEEFS! She'll drop 5-6 forearm sized logs in there and will never FLUSH!

My conspiracy theory is this is all a distraction for that segment of the base that can't walk and chew gum on the same day, so they won't notice that the GOPpers are going to lay down on raising taxes.
