AB is not a fanboy. AB is the object of fanboy desires. AB is awesomeness incarnate.

Ambivalence: AB is not a fanboy. AB is the object of fanboy desires. AB is awesomeness incarnate.

Exactly. I am definitely an AB fangirl. More of an AB fangirl than I am a Mythbusters fangirl. And that's saying something.

/Ok, I freaking love Alton Brown, I admit it

that much awesomeness in one place will be orgasmic.

That sounds much better. I should've been able to think of it myself, but all the blood had already rushed to my head.

The irony of this is that both mythbusters and alton have jumped the shark at least a couple of years ago so why should I give a flying fark about their lame attempt at a crossover thanksgiving episode?

/mythbusters is all gimmicks these days
//alton spends his time eating pasion fruit, insulting his audiences, and sucking food networks cock

The mid-air collision, and then the subsequent fall into the shark tank, should make for amusing TV.

Actually Alton Brown and Thomas Dolby are the same person. And Jamie Hyneman is really the offspring of Wilford Brimley and a walrus.

This show should have went off the air back when they still had some integrity, like back when they would look into actual myths and urban legends.

I came here to say this. With the rare exception, it stopped being entertaining the day they started trying to prove movie "myths". The only thing that's gotten better is their resources. Back when they tested the 'Tailgates down get better fuel mileage' myth, they just filled up two trucks, tried to drive at the same speed, and determined the "winner" by which one ran out of gas first. 4 or 5 years ago when they tested the benefit of drafting semi trucks, they had experts who were abe to patch into the onboard computer and meter exactly how much fuel was being consumed.

Hell, they don't even bother with shiat like basic math even. Sure they TALK like they know what they're doing, but the giant newton's cradle would never work, and I could have told you that when I saw the commercial with the CGI sequence they tried to "bust". At this point, they're just a couple of hacks milking a bunch of suckers for every bit of ad revenue they can find.

More room. Lots more room in the engine compartment and easily accessible.

I'm guessing you missed the part where they showed the vortex part.

Meant to type 'bust'. Not that it matters, since they can't 'prove' or 'bust' them anyway, since they are completely fictional in the first place. Nothing to 'bust' if it's fake.

that doesn't really make any sense. If a movie shows something happening, it's fully possible to show if that thing can happen or not. and unfortunately a lot of people believe movie physics and don't question it.

Certain segments of the population think a little paper fire not melting chicken wire means 9/11 was an inside job. Alot of people also think getting hit with a shotgun blasts you 9 feet, and glass is totally safe to throw people through. I don't underestimate human stupidity. I have no qualms with movie myths.

Really 'special' people watch Mythbusters now, I notice. Even my stepsons have figured out what you seem to be having trouble with, and that was back when they were about 11 & 13... Maybe they're more exceptional than I thought.

Well, if anyone can do it, Alton Brown can.

just remember, those measurements are by weight, not by volume!

what exactly am I having trouble with? I simply stated facts. You can show how how exactly I was wrong, or you can continue to be a passive aggressive douche. your choice. I don't really care either way.

And sci-fi physics too. That's why we have people who think space is just a really big living room filled with food and toys, and not a radiation-blasted deadly empty hell.

Um......
Yes it is. Proving or disproving, same difference. Some of the "Myths" they have covered have been proven to be correct, while other have been proven to be false.
