I bet he was banging an intern or a biographer or something. Something huge like that.

But Petraeus told the lawmakers it was removed by other federal agencies who made changes to the CIA's draft.

Why do other agencies get to edit CIA reports? What are these agencies?

2012-11-16 01:56:55 PM
Petraeus should have stopped and then said, "well, that's not true. The GOP has politicized it plenty." And then moved on without further comment.

AdolfOliverPanties: Why do other agencies get to edit CIA reports? What are these agencies?

The original CIA report still exists. It was the statement made by other agencies, based on drafts written by the CIA, that were changed.

You think it would be a good idea if all government agencies were required to read statements given to them by the CIA verbatim?

These are not the agencies you are looking for...

A report is not an official statement, especially when it probably contained classified.

It was just a question. I can see the White House wanting to edit the report, remove sensitive content, but if other agencies get their mitts on it first, they might remove important info.

You did say though that the CIA report still exists, which I would hope was given to the White House as well.

Well the cover-up aspect is farked. What do we have left:

1) Obama apologized about the 1st Amendment (that one lasted 2 days)
2) Obama said it wasn't terrorism (that was never true but somehow still persists

3) Rice said it was probably related to the riots/video which was corrected a few days later
4) the GOP cutting diplomatic security budgets
5) Obama not caring about the dead diplomats
6) it is a cover-up (simultaneous to it being formally investigates somehow)

This thing has some fight in it yet. What's the fall back if this falls through. Is Mustard-gate still a thing?

The more we talk about Benghazi the less we can focus on what's important: Justin Bieber and David Petraeus are single at the same time. Is the world ready for Bietraeus?

Sadly, we'll never know. I heard on Fox News that Petraeus resigned so that Congress couldn't make him testify about Florida Socialite, Barack H. Fartbong0.

Oh, the process was politicized. Until Farbongo bin Muslin al Hadj got on his magic flying time machine carpet, went back in time and made it all an innocent sex romp.

You realize that they don't just send out one memo for everyone, right. That some people are important enough to get more detailed and classified info. It's not like you're going to tell the press officer for the ambassador to Japan's office the same briefing/memo on the attack as you'd give the President.

"There was an interagency process to draft it, not a political process," Schiff said after the hearing. "They came up with the best assessment without compromising classified information or source or methods. So changes were made to protect classified information.

"The general was adamant there was no politicization of the process, no White House interference or political agenda," Schiff said. "He completely debunked that idea."

Remember: King accidentally outed the CIA's base at the consulate (notice how the liberal media mentions that every night!).

And the best, the last time GOP went all like this over a national security issue? While "investigating" Clinton's missile strikes against Bin Laden's camps in Afghanistan, they leak to the press that we had Osama's satellite phone tapped.

Republicans have no problem outing CIA agents, letting the world know where their bases are, or that we're listening in on the phone conversations of terrorists if it means they can attack a Democratic president.

Evidently the DERPers hate the military now. One of his callers said his son in high school is in ROTC, but he won't let him serve in the military with Obama as the CIC and possibly Kerry as the Sec of Def.
