Funbags: Dream team.

I still want to punch Vince Young for saying that.

And punch Reid for signing him in the first place. The rest of the signings from that offseason, I can sort of defend (except maybe Ronnie Brown). But that one still burns me.

havocmike: I do NOT understand my fellow Eagles fans on this one.

What have you seen that makes you think Foles will accomplish anything? A couple of good pre-season games?

Surely you're not basing this on his college experience..

I hope he works out.. but I don't see it.

I can only speak for myself.
This season is lost. I think most of us Eagles fans would agree.
Right now, what I want to see, is if the promise that Foles showed in the pre-season can carry over into the real thing. Maybe it will, maybe it won't.
Either way, Vick is gone after this year, at least I hope. He's too fragile, and despite those flashes of brilliance in 2010, too mistake prone for the team to go anywhere with him. I want to see if its possible that Foles might be that guy for the future, under whoever coaches the team next season, or if they'll have to draft someone.
And given how weak the upcoming QB draft class is, I'd rather them be able to go forward with Foles starting at QB, and use the draft to improve the offensive line and secondary.

If the Eagles and Chargers could ever combine their strengths one of them might have a chance to not be the redheaded stepchild in their respective divisions who can never quite get the whole job done. Fortunately this can never happen.

Hell, if either would finally read the writing on the wall and fire their head coach, they might be able to turn their wealth of highly paid talent into some more W's on their own.
