Bravo, subs. +1 to you

Armand: Al, you old son of a biatch! How ya doin'? How do you feel about that call today? I mean the Dolphins Eagles! Fourth-and-three play on their 30 yard line with only 34 seconds to go!
Albert: How do you think I feel? Betrayed, bewildered... wrong response?
Armand: Actually, I'm not sure

I do NOT understand my fellow Eagles fans on this one.

What have you seen that makes you think Foles will accomplish anything? A couple of good pre-season games?

Surely you're not basing this on his college experience..

I hope he works out.. but I don't see it.

Foles reminds me of Charlie Whitehurst. His physical attributes look good on paper, but it doesn't translate to on-field success. Myabe I'm wrong about Foles, but he looks like that to me.

I can only speak for myself.
This season is lost. I think most of us Eagles fans would agree.
Right now, what I want to see, is if the promise that Foles showed in the pre-season can carry over into the real thing. Maybe it will, maybe it won't.
Either way, Vick is gone after this year, at least I hope. He's too fragile, and despite those flashes of brilliance in 2010, too mistake prone for the team to go anywhere with him. I want to see if its possible that Foles might be that guy for the future, under whoever coaches the team next season, or if they'll have to draft someone.
And given how weak the upcoming QB draft class is, I'd rather them be able to go forward with Foles starting at QB, and use the draft to improve the offensive line and secondary.

2012-11-16 08:10:30 PM

Funbags: Dream team.

I still want to punch Vince Young for saying that.

And punch Reid for signing him in the first place. The rest of the signings from that offseason, I can sort of defend (except maybe Ronnie Brown). But that one still burns me.

The Chargers did that when they fired Marty Schottenheimer. And they got Norv Turner in return.
