Clearly, he's in on it. Right guys? Is that how this works?

2012-11-16 12:08:11 PM
Yeah, no. It's still not a big deal that some people in the government thought that it was part of the YouTube protests and some other people in the government thought that it was a terrorist act separate from the YouTube protests.

When I see a (some guy) label instead of an actual image of the site, it tells me one thing...

YOUR BLOG SUCKS.

Clicking on it and finding the site is "a division of the Media Research Center"?

That confirms it.

Loving those comments. It's not treason when we do it!

Lando Lincoln: Yeah, no. It's still not a big deal that some people in the government thought that it was part of the YouTube protests and some other people in the government thought that it was a terrorist act separate from the YouTube protests.

Especially since it was, in truth and in fact, both.

2012-11-16 12:29:28 PM
Rep. Peter King personally financed a terrorist organization.

2012-11-16 12:29:41 PM
Seriously. If Obama hadn't flown to Libya and unlocked the back door of the compound and then put blanks in all the security force's weapons and tied one hand behind their backs then flown home to instate Sharia law none of this would have happened.

/Goddammit so much, Fox News.

Right wing nuts at work yesterday: The whole Petraesus scandal was manufactured by Obama because he found out that Patraesus was going to quit because he hated what the liberals were doing to the country so he had to discredit him so people wouldn't pay attention when "he told the truth" after he quit.

Now, the guy who was saying this isn't smart enough to come up with it on his own. Anyone know what derp site or show he's getting it from?

So the biggest part of this "story" is when we did or did not call it a terrorist attack?

I mean, they figured out that they couldn't pin any "didn't respond" or "bad handling," so now they're going for "when did they say the right words?"

2012-11-16 12:31:01 PM
If only we'd called it terrorism more promptly, those poor, brave victims could have been brought back to life.

2012-11-16 12:33:31 PM
Obviously this is worse than when Rumsfield, Feith, and Wolfowitz set up a parallel intelligence apparatus to tell the administration what it wanted to hear and thousands of American servicemen who I served alongside in Iraq died in a war of choice for which we have gained absolutely nothing of value geopolicially, and in fact may have strengthened and emboldened the Iranians.

Why? Because socialism.

/study it out.
/Republicans are vile creatures.

No, they're going for "deliberately lied to the American people" but they're so incompetent, even at their specialty (witch-hunting), that it's coming across as "when did they say the right words?"

2012-11-16 12:34:15 PM
Where is the proof that Obama was there, on the ground taking part in the Benghazi killings?

I'm just asking questions.

Something that convoluted could probably only come from Alex Jones.

That's pretty much the narrative over in AM talk radio land. I listen to Hannity there to get the "official" GOP establishment propaganda and daily talking points.

antidisestablishmentarianism: Loving those comments. It's not treason when we do it!

1st comment: Obama wanted to cover this up as a terrorist act

because calling it a terrorist act the next day in a speech from the Rose Garden is exactly how you would do that apparently.

2012-11-16 12:38:10 PM
So Petraeus really said that there was a coverup? How fascinating, I didn't expect

Representative Peter King stated that former CIA Director David Petraeus stated

Oh, a Republican says that's what he remembers. Well this would just be hearsay and not news unless Democrats agreed so I'm sure when I find another source it will say just the same

Democrats said Petraeus made it clear the change was not made for political reasons during President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.

"The general was adamant there was no politicization of the process, no White House interference or political agenda," said Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif. "He completely debunked that idea."

So, the right still has nothing and your blog still sucks.

I agree that no one that isn't an old white guy that religiously consumes AM talk radio cares even one iota about Benghazi. And most of them care even less about the middle east in general.

2012-11-16 12:39:06 PM
Fox News is currently complaining that the main stream media doesn't cover Benghazi.

Not true. It was a tragedy.

Just that most people don't draw insane and moronic conclusions from it.

2012-11-16 12:39:42 PM
I see Republican Peter King dancing around 'terrorism' and 'targeted terrorist attack', padded with recollections about Administration statements the records don't support, but little about what Petraeus actually said. Must be Fox.

2012-11-16 12:40:03 PM
Come on, republicans! I know you want to impeach Obama for this. Well, really, for beating you, but this will be your excuse. DO EEEIIIIT. I DOUBLE DARE YOU.

If you go a little further down, the derp reaches some truly awesome heights.

Not if a side goal was to kidnap Stevens so B'rak could pull out another "October surprise", rescuing him ala OBL and at the same time rescuing his poor polling numbers. That would explain the takeover of the Cairo embassy; a dry run to set up the video excuse/apology to be pulled out if a reason was needed. Now we learned the consulate was attacked by 2 groups, the first a disorganized crowd - I believe they were to be the kidnappers. The 2nd group more organized, trained Al-Qada terrorists to send a message home to B'rak that they will not be used but will be the users. Things got totally out of hand and the kidnapping backfired with the torture, sodomy and death of our Ambassador.

There were other YouTube protests? I guess I sort of remember that...

In a sentence, what is the actual gripe about Benghazi?

2012-11-16 12:41:13 PM
Not sure of the importance of any of this.

But the biography-writer-hoser supposedly said the CIA briefing on the attacks was altered by somebody else for Rice before she want on her talk show spree spouting the "spontaneous attack related to video" baloney.

Why? I'm not willing to crawl down that conspiracy lane but it sure seems like a stupid messaging plan.

zzzzzzzz

2012-11-16 12:41:43 PM
And this is why Republicans are able to bog down the political process and prevent the spotlight from shifting to more pressing problems... keep barking about something over and over while focusing on insignificant minutia such as he said "acts of terror" and not "terrorist attack"

2012-11-16 12:42:06 PM
I'm confused, if Obama wanted to make this a big issue he would have called it a terrorist attack off the bat.. but he didn't... but still whats the issue, calming it down i think is a better response than going and invading a country...

As near as I can tell, somebody thinks somebody didn't use exactly the right words to describe something - but I can't say for sure. I don't speak derp very well.

2012-11-16 12:43:29 PM

I saw a car with a bumper sticker about 20 minutes ago that said:

BENGHAZI
What Really Happened?

I'll admit: I've read very little of this story. Some people got killed at an embassy. What is the controversy, exactly? What's the supposed controversy, anyway?

The administration may have known it was a planned attack and not a protest but told us they weren't sure what it was.

Because there were CIA assets in place that they wanted to get out of there/scrub/debrief/etc at first? Because they had some leads on who *had* done it, and making your enemy think you don't know what's going on is an excellent way to lull them into a false sense of security?

Is this really it?

For a scandal, this is pretty weak. This is why the Petraeus sex scandal is getting more press than this BS.

I know a 29-year-old white woman with a Hispanic last name who cares about Benghazi and thinks there's a cover-up going on. But she also thinks that 52% of the country voted for "moochers" and that the "war on women" is really being waged by Democrats, so I think she's just a run-of-the-mill Fox News viewer.

Yes. Since the White House lied during those first couple of days this scandal is worse than Watergate gay marrying Iran-Contra.

The time we're wasting on this and the Petreaus sex scandal is all the proof I need that this country is farked.

i love how the potato squad doesn't even bat an eye that just last week the entire GOP machine was telling them Romney had it in the bag.
