When I think of the mainstream media, the first thing I think of is the Eugene, Oregon Register-Guard.

2012-11-16 09:37:22 AM
I don't recall an ex-presidential candidate being delusional, besides Mittens, that is.

this he'd have to actually believe what he says to be delusional. He is just pandering.

Oh, wait... McCain, but only because of his VP pick.

Four years ago; now... well yes, now he is certainly delusional as well.

He is both.

When he is campaigning he is lying.

When he is telling the truth in private he is delusional.

Something, something Ross Perot

To those who said that OWS did not do one thing : yes it did. It finally put the reality of class warfare squarely in the middle of the public discourse.

2012-11-16 09:44:09 AM
We'll never know if he's lying or telling the truth. He definitely needed to say something to the people who poured millions into it. You know he isn't going to say, "Yep, we farked up and shiat the bed. My bad, wanna go play golf?"

Anyone who thought Romney was anything other than a pandering. plutocratic asshole, who didn't give a shiat about anyone besides his socioeconomic equals was just as delusional as the Romney Campaign.

I'm pretty sure someone in the PalaceGuardLamestreamMSM Media Run by Liberals That Are Liberal said that about Reagan.

// a lot, actually
// it was in the late 90s (much like the Gipper) and early 2000s

Yep. income imbalance and class warfare were major issues this time around, thanks to them. the 47% comment wouldn't have resonated as much if not for the 1% meme from OWS.

You know, I kind of thought that myself. Those were his donors, what else was he going to say?

But then why have the press sit in on this conversation? He obviously didn't mind, or didn't seem to realize that this would be disseminated and he'd be crucified for it.

This is the real Romney. The plutocratic dickwad who'd seemingly love to make a buck by investing in Soylent Green.

OWS is still operating. They've made something of a splash in the past month - first by helping out with helping people during the Sandy recovery (who'd have thought that the people that ran a tent camp might be able to help people that don't have homes?), second by their debt relief program. I'm sure they are exploring and doing other things as well.

Is it the huge movement that it was last year? No, and I think that makes it more effective. Last year it was the hipster & poor protesting against the rich, attracting a lot of negative attention and making class warfare a visible thing. This year it's actually doing something to *fight* the negative attention and class warfare.

2012-11-16 09:54:43 AM
Leave Romney alone, can't you see he's just all butthurt? He was on the verge of becoming the RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD. He would funnel no-bid contracts to his sons little investment schemes and in turn would profit over his reign. All the while having Fox News gush over how great he was and how the economy was turning around because of him. It was all perfect, Orca was going to swallow the Narwahl, his pollsters were telling him it's in the bag, all he had to do was not fark up to election day. Then he was deceived. They STOLE the election from him. It is RIGHTFULLY his, it is his presidency and his alone.

Oh, sure they were. Usually in the tone of, "You can't tax the rich! That's CLASS WARFARE!"

Well which is worse?
1) Romney saying the result (he did poorly among non-whites) is due to his opponent targetting those people with "gifts" or
2) Hard-left people saying the result (Romney did very well among whites) is evidence of racism.

They're both wrong. Politics are tribal and the racial breakdown is no one's fault.

So no.

To be fair, the Southern Strategy probably was a big contributor to poisoning the well towards the GOP getting much traction regarding black voters.

If you think you can win by:

-insulting nearly half the voters
-lying or flip-flopping on every single issue
-Making George Bush's foreign diplomacy skills look exemplary
-Being so obviously disconnected from the common plight of average Americans on a daily basis with everything you say
-Lying in nearly every negative campaign ad against Obama

.... You're a f*cking delusional meat popsicle, bro.

Oh, he really believes that $250k is just barely middle class, and that if you don't make at least that much, you deserve absolutely nothing from the society you are part of. He really believes poor people just LIKE being poor, and that living on welfare is a fantastic way of life!

He also really believes he gets his own planet when he dies, to rule over like he thought he was going to rule Earth.

Your condom sampler is on the way, but you'll be sampling them "Maryland-style". You might not enjoy it as much as you had originally hoped. Then again, you might.
