cgraves67: armoredbulldozer: cgraves67: As the resident of a country that hasn't had a domestic war in 1.5 centuries, it's almost surreal to imagine seeing such a thing out my windows. Chilling.

Where is that? (Not being a smart-ass, math and science are more my gig.)

The US. No major war has happened in the US mainland since our civil war. I suppose you could make an argument for the wars of native pacification, but I don't see them as on domestic soil. We took the land, it was an offensive.

Pearl Harbor was a territory at the time of WW2. So were a lot of other places that didn't end up as states. There were other things like balloon bombs and submarines lobbing shells, but not significant ones.

I wasn't sure how restrictive your statement was. We also battled Japanese soldiers in the Aleutian Islands during WWII. Alaska was operating under the auspices of the 1884 Organic Act, which provided for Federal officials to operate the "then district" of Alaska. I agree, seeing shiat like that in the sky would be scary. Where the fark do you run? I saw footage of Israelis running into buildings. If they are hit, you get buried under rubble and probably end up dead. I would be scared I would survive, being the claustrophobic mother farker I am.
