I lived three blocks away from Pablo Escobars brothers house, a rocket was put through it almost 20 years ago, and it still has not been rebuilt. So a super wealthy neighbor hood with this burned out mediterranean looking house with barbed wire around still there til this day.

I also taught Pablos nephew computer science. Imagine a 12 year old driving a new Benz around full of hot whores.

I was out drinking with some buddies and the nephew pulls up and see me and says "Yo teach" and I walk over to the car and he has a gallon jug of Aguardiente, and two of the hottest women I have seen in Colombia. I say "dude, I am your teacher, I am supposed to be a role model" and he says "take the booze, you are right I am too young to be drinking, but the whores are mine" and he drives off into the night.

My best friend Nestor turns to me and says "is your school hiring?"
/cool story bro

I think Benecio will do fine, he is a good name draw, speaks passable spanish, he will never sound paisa, but it will be enough. Besides no one will go see a movie about a short fat spic.

On the other hand my fellow Colombians will rant and rave against the norte americanos disparaging their culture. Then they will go see it in droves, get liguored up, and get back to the whorehouse.

Sweet. A movie based on Mark Bowden's book "Killing Pablo" could be amazing.

Personally, I think I would go with Lucy Liu for that part. But I guess Benny would work too.

Edgar Ramirez (played Carlos the Jackal in the excellent Carlos miniseries) would be a great Pablo Escobar, too.
