I don't recall an NBA player shooting and taking a bat to the car of another NBA player he used to have a relationship with.

I'm trying to decide if I'm a bad person for assuming the player in question was a lesbian and being right.

I decided I feel sad for remembering when Holdsclaw was in college, thinking it was recently, and then finding out she's 35. F*ck I feel old.

Somebody having a seizure over in Bristol? They typed her name as Chamique Holdsclaw. Obviously, that's not a name somebody would give to a human.

Wasn't the WNBA disbanded a few years back? I know the local team is gone.

I think it would be a lot better for someone to put in some real money and organize a professional women's volleyball league. It would probably be more interesting and have higher ratings than the WNBA. Not only is volleyball a traditional American sport but the women that play are much more attractive. It would be like the lingerie league but legitimate.

Just checked Wikipedia, yes they still exist. It's probably not a good sign I had to check though.

"The Dub" will never have a marketable asset that can approach the Ron Artest Interactive Fan Experience. Suck it, WNBA.

Women's college volleyball is incredibly athletic and fun to watch. And there ain't nothing wrong with those shorts, either.

Pretty much like this.

/seriously, if you ever watched Sportscenter back when she was in college, you'd know this. She was a force.
//BTW, GIS for Jennifer Lacy shows that damn, she's hot

I thought I remembered her being attractive then so I GIS'd her and every hot picture was one of Lacy. Still pretty sure I remember Chamique being attractive, though.

More attractive = legitimate to you? I guess you're also drooling over those tight ends in the NFL then, eh?

Her book: "Breaking Through: Beating The Odds Shot After Shot"

Much like her breaking a window and managing to miss from close range. Most ironic book title since Jerry Sandusky's "Touched"?

When the WNBA first started out, i was working at a restaurant a block from the arena in Phoenix. We had conference rooms and a VIP bar upstairs, so we did a lot of WNBA business as a result, whether it was events for the team or pre- and post-game parties. The people were awesome, the players I met were really cool, and the fans introduced me to the fact that there are plenty of smoking hot lesbians.

As a result, I feel a little offended when other people laugh these women off, they really are super-talented and deserve some recognition for this, like you said, far more talented and successful than any of us.

Good God, those women can party with the best of them, too... Best sports crowd we had, followed by Arena Football, then NHL fans, then baseball fans. NBA fans, on the other hand, actively sapped your will to live, nothing but old people and families, and generally not a lot of fun to hang around with or have sitting in yiur section...

More talented at what? Basketball? Most guys who were given any scholarship consideration for a d1 school are more talented than 90% of the WNBA, so no.

Successful? The top WNBA salary as of 2010 is around 100k. The average is 72k. So, once again, no.

I'm guessing you and The Smails Kid weren't given scholarship consideration for a D-1 school.

/good to know you think that success = pay.

How do you define success in the context of a job?

The D1 scholarship consideration was being generous. Anyone who played high school ball and was any good probably has enough talent to compete at a WNBA level.

You're a retard. It's more legitimate because its a real sport as opposed to lingerie football. Reading comprehension fail on your part. Note how I said volleyball players are hotter than WNBA players and more legitimate than lingerie football Learn to read.

I had no idea she was in the WNBA now. She used to be in Newsday all the time when she was in high school because she broke basically every record there was.
