I thought it was "John Cougar". Did he get married or something?

And the Republicans will mistake it's gritty story about the dark side of life in America for nationalistic tripe.

Two masters of middle-brow suckage are at it again.

Will it have allusions to small town America and take cheap shots are Republicans, Christians and Nixon?

Well, Stephen King is involved.

haha haef you seen this picture from a show called The Family Guy that is topical to this discussion at hand?

It's a real shame Bryan didn't back up to see what he hit.

Is it Springsteen or Mellencamp that does the four hour long concert set?

Either or, I'd expect the resulting musical to take no less than a month to finish.

Perfect combo. Mellencamp can't write songs and King can't write books

Add John Hodgeman to this hodgepodge and I might be intrigued

Mr.King is the reason i gave disco a second chance, so i am confused. John Cougar Mellonhead is known for the cowboy farmer violin sound. I hope they come up with something really weird and surprise us all. doubt that will happen.

And due to the fact that no one will be allowed to edit it, it will be 15 hours long.

It's been John Cougar, John Cougar Mellencamp, and now John Mellencamp, many people already knew this, he just changes it up every 10-15 years or so.

Wow, Mellencamp's been along far longer than that. Hell, he was even a glam rocker at some point in the 70's.

The last time Stephen King collaborated with a musician, we got Black Ribbons; so I am pretty interested in where this can go.

This is Atlanta's Woodruff Arts Center. It is in close proximity to 1) Financial high-rises and 2) A bunch of gay people.

It also was hosting this thing in, like, April. oldnewsisexciting.jpg.

Now now, subby. That 3O minute finale number tying the Crimson King into the story is integral to the whole narrative structure of this show.

Ugh. I used to be one of King's biggest fans, but the best thing he's written in years was what he said about Twilight.

I'd "Funny" this, or even "Smart" this, but I went back and looked at the headline, and everything appears copacetic. What gives?

I'm so glad I have John Mellencamp to explain what it's like to grow up in southern Indiana. Really!

Here's a better King musical collaboration:

Strange, I saw this musical in Atlanta last year. It was great. The Devil is really the best part.

Sounded like something I wouldn't be interested in. Then I noticed T-Bone Burnett, Elvis Costello, Neko Case, and Taj Mahal are involved. So now, I'm a bit intrigued.
