andrewagill: uber humper: [img.gawkerassets.com image 640x360]How the hell has taco.com not sold to Taco Bell?People occasionally email me about buying the domain milk.com from me. I used to respond to such requests with, "How much are you offering?" These days, if you don't mention a number, I probably won't mail you back. However, let me warn you that I like the name and I have a reasonably well-paying job, so it'll have to be a pretty damn good offer. Note that a number (in whole U.S. dollars) which includes fewer than 8 significant digits to the left of the decimal point does not constitute "pretty damn good" in my book. That is, if you're not offering $10 million, I'm not interested./me is not *me*.//But I've had e-mail discussions with Bornstein.
Lunchlady: Are any of the websites besides Alta Vista still used by those companies? Can anyone find the oldest still in use website?
jayhawk88: SNPP.com has been around since at least '96, and is still sporting a very "classic" look.
uber humper: Lunchlady: Are any of the websites besides Alta Vista still used by those companies? Can anyone find the oldest still in use website? It would be a .mil. DARPA?
Rockstone: Oldest webpage I could find! Almost as old as me: http://pmichaud.com/grape/
andrewagill: I am deeply saddened that think.com now leads to thinkquest, not Oracle, though that would sadden me for other reasons.
